ISLAMABAD, Jul 17 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the killing of a UNCHR official in Peshawar on Thursday. The President in a message condemned the brutal killing of UNCHR official and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
Major (Rtd) Usman, a senior field officer of UNHCR Peshawar chapter, and his bodyguard were shot dead by unknown miscreants near Kacha Garhi camp in the outskirts of Peshawar on Thursday.
The President directed the concerned authorities to probe the tragic happening and bring the culprits to book.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
