Iran’s nuclear chief resigns: report


TEHRAN, July 16 (MNA) — Gholamraza Aqazadeh has resigned his post as the director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), the ISNA news agency reported on Thursday.

In an interview with the ISNA, Aqazadeh confirmed reports that he had resigned the post about 20 days go.

He said his resignation has been accepted by the president.

Aqazadeh had held the post for 12 years.
