Muslim Scholars urge for Shia-Sunni unity


On the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the Noblest Messenger of Allah, Hazrat Mohammad (A.S.) and the Week of Shia-Sunni Unity, the sixth conference of Muslim Alims arranged by the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Damascus, Syria under the title of ‘Role of Islamic Ummah’s Unity in the face of Imperialism’
On the occasion of the birthday anniversary of the Noblest Messenger of Allah, Hazrat Mohammad (A.S.) and the Week of Shia-Sunni Unity, the sixth conference of Muslim Alims arranged by the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Damascus, Syria under the title of ‘Role of Islamic Ummah’s Unity in the face of Imperialism’.
Shii and Sunni Alims gave lectures about necessity of unity and solidarity among Muslims in the face of the arrogant powers.
Sheikh Hossein Shahade, a Lebanese Alim warned against the sectarian plots by the arrogance and said they know well that with unity, the Islamic Ummah could dominate the world with its justice and welfare.
He lauded Iran for the arrest of Abdolmalek Rigi, head of Jundollah terrorist band and said the western media claimed he was the leader of Iranian Sunnis while the Iranian Sunnis disavowed him because he was a criminal who killed innocent people.
Sheikh Hesam al-Din Farfur, Head of the Syrian Islamic Science Center said that not only a united Islamic Ummah can resist against alien threats but also it could bring progress and development to Muslim community in social and economic affairs.
He said that Tehran and Damascus’ joint support of the Resistance in Lebanon and Palestine is a symbol of unity. He urged other Islamic countries for more solidarity.
Sheikh Mohammd Adel Aziza, a Syrian Alim from the Halab province said promotion of unity among the youths and university students is a significant duty of Muslim Alims.
