After Friday’s prayed thousands of Yemenis rallied in Al Sabeen Square in the capital Sana’a and strongly condemned the Israeli troops’ incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque last Sunday on September 27 along with Jewish radicals.
Demonstrators said this Israeli break-in which comes on the 9th occasion of Al-Aqsa Itifada indicates that Israel insists on infringing Muslims’ sacred shrine and provoke Muslims’ feelings. They warned Israel of any new escalation in the region. Placards raised in the protest called Arab and Muslim peoples to stand against “Zionist flagrant violations against the holy city of Al-Quds.”
They also called on ministers of endowments and foreign affairs in all Arab and Muslim countries to hold a conference to discuss the Israeli infringements and Judaization campaign.
Early last Sunday, clashes erupted between Palestinians in the eastern part of al-Quds and the Israeli police as a group of Jewish radicals broke into the yard of al-Aqsa Mosque. About 16 Palestinians and several Israeli police were injured in the clashes.
