IRAN, BELARUS PARLIAMENT HEADS MEET


larijani700Iran’s Majlis Speaker, Dr. Ali Larijani, met and conferred with Belarusian counterpart, Boris Batura, in Tehran on Tuesday. According to IRIB, Dr. Larijani called for making use of the ample capacities of the two countries in different fields especially in economic and industrial sector through adopting a long term strategy.

He took note of the effective role of the parliaments in expansion of Iran-Belarus relations and expressed Tehran’s readiness to broaden ties with Minsk.
The Iranian Majlis Speaker also shed light on the failure of the unilateral attitude toward the world equations and emphasized close ties between the independent countries in the international developments.
The Belarusian Parliament Speaker, for his part, called for expansion of mutual ties in all areas, stressing his country’s support for Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.
Earlier, Boris Batura had paid tribute to the Father of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace) at his mausoleum on Tuesday.
He is to hold talks with other senior Iranian officials including President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
