Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday discussed with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani the outcome of his recent visit to Iran and said that it will give great impetus to Pak-Iran relations. According to IRIB World Service, the Pakistani Prime Minister felicitated the Pakistani President on the conclusion of a framework agreement for the Iran – Pakistan Gas Pipeline and said that with the launch of the project a giant step would be taken for the energy security of the country.
President Zardari and his Iranian counterpart Dr. Mahmood Ahmadinejad had signed the Intergovernmental framework declaration to support within the framework of their respective laws and regulations, the gas deal signed by the oil ministries of the respective countries.
