JNN 29 June 2013 Cairo : Egyptian Salafai Wahabi Prosecutors on Wednesday ordered the detention of prominent Shia leader Mohamed al-Doreiny in Giza, after he was arrested Tuesday for alleged possession of illegal firearms.

Egypt’s Biased Salafi – Wahabi security forces had on Tuesday arrested Doreiny for keeping firearms hidden in his home in the Giza neighborhood of Haram.
Doreiny will be detained for 4 days pending investigations into charges.
The family of the arrested Shia leader told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Doreiny filed several reports with public prosecutors and other security bodies affirmed that Salafi groups had threatened to assault his family. When the police did not respond, Doreiny said he felt compelled to purchase weapons to protect his family.
The arrest of Doreiny comes just days after 4 Shias were brutally killed in a Giza village when hundreds of extremist Salafis Takfiri following the Fatwas of their leader attacked and tortured them for performing Muslim Religious Rituals
Prominent Egyptian Shia cleric, Sheikh Hassan Shehata, and four of his devotees have been martyred in a brutal attack carried out by Takfiri extremists in Giza Province near Cairo. The attack was carried out on Sunday when a crowd of several hundred assailants attacked Sheikh Shehata’s home when he and tens of Shia Muslims were celebrating birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, and then set it on fire at the village of Abu Mussalam. Shia activists have accused the police of negligence, saying they have failed to intervene despite being in the area.
The incident was condemned locally and internationally as all-out sectarian mob violence.
Prosecutors in South Giza detained 8 suspects on Tuesday, charging them with murder, premeditated murder, threatening public security and the illegal possession of arms.
PROTEST IN LONDON AGAINST SHIA KILLING IN EGYPT
Hundreds of protesters demonstrate outside the Egyptian Embassy in London to protest the recent killing of four Shia Muslims by Takfiri extremists near Cairo.
The protesters were chanting slogans and holding placards reading, “Stop Shia genocide”, “no to sectarianism”, “shut down the extremist satellite channels” and demanded Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to deliver freedom and justice for all Egyptians.
Moreover, they handed a letter to the Egyptian Ambassador, calling on the government to order an independent and thorough investigation into killing of the four men.
On June 23, several hundred Takfiris attacked and surrounded the house of Shia cleric Sheikh Hassan Shehata in the village of Abu Mussalam in Giza Province. The Takfiris killed the cleric and three of his followers and dragged their bodies on the streets.
Leaders of the Shia community in Egypt also condemned the recent sectarian killings in Egypt and censured the government for what they said was its failure to protect the Shia community.
