JNN 06 Feb 2011 Faisalabad : Shumaila Kanwal, the wife of a Pakistani man Faheem , shot and killed by a US functionary committed suicide by eating rat poison Sunday, explaining that she has taken such a drastic step as she have no hope in government to do Justice to her and was driven to act by fears the American terrorist would be freed without trial.

Shumaila Kanwal , from her death bed , gave her in camera statement to the media , that she took the poison Sunday because she believes her husband’s Killer will be freed without trial.

“I do not expect any justice from this government,” said Kanwal in a statement recorded by the Media. “That is why I want to kill myself.”

Kanwal also spoke to Media Rep after arriving at the hospital. The bed-ridden lady expressed her intense disappointment and disheartening over the treatment given to Raymond Davis, and demanded “blood for blood”.

“I want blood for blood. The way my husband was shot, his killer should be shot in the same fashion,” she said.

“Eleven day has been passed, I’m seeing no justice. I need blood for blood. He [Davis] is being treated as a VIP guest rather than a killer…I’m sure that he will be handed over to America very soon…such conspiracies are being hatched,” said Shumaila form the bed.

The US has demanded Pakistani authorities release the gunman Raymond Davis, saying he shot and killed two armed men, namely Faizan and Faheem, in ‘self-defense’. US say he has diplomatic immunity and is being illegally detained.

Another person bystander Abdul Rehman was killed when he was struck by an American car rushing to the scene to help Davis. Police have said they want to question the Americans suspected in that death as well. While the American Rescue Team Driver which killed the third Man , Rehman , has also not been handed over to the Pakistani Law enforcement Agencies, and rather the Americans have completely ignored the letters , written for the hand over for the Killer of the third Man, Rehman , while they are persistent on just one thing that , All the Americans staff have Diplomatic Immunity in Pakistan ,whether declared & confirmed or not .

The shootings have stoked anti-American sentiment in Pakistan, feelings have  been further inflamed by Shumaila Kanwal’s suicidal death.

The Death of Shumaila Kanwal , narrates very clearly that First of all , the Americans who Kill Pakistani in Drone attacks or they Kill on the Busy Roads of Lahore , They enjoy Complete Diplomatic Immunity , and secondly they are here to create the Phenomenon of Suicide, that People of Pakistan , have lost so much hope in there government that they are ready to Kill themselves , any way either By Blowing themselves in Public Places , Or taking the rat Poison in the Privacy of their Bedrooms.

The government could face a very strong reaction from the Pakistani Public if it hands Raymond Davis over to the United States. Pakistani officials have avoided definitive statements on Davis’ level of diplomatic clearance and whether he qualifies for immunity.

Federal officials have said the decision on his fate is up to courts in Punjab province, where the shootings occurred. But provincial officials have said the federal government must decide whether Davis has immunity.

Though, the Lahore High Court has also blocked any move to extradite the American national, Pakistani officials are indicating that he may soon be released. But  it has also not issued any order for the arrest or the  Presentation of the Second Killer in the court, which is very strange

Two Pakistani officials in the United States told The Associated Press on Friday they expected Davis to be free in days, once a Pakistani court goes over documents US officials have submitted to prove his diplomatic status.

Relatives of the men who were allegedly shot by Davis have participated in several protests in Lahore, including one Thursday outside the U.S. consulate where demonstrators shouted “Hang the American killer!”

A majority say the two men were innocent Pakistanis rather than thieves who were attempting to rob Davis. But the U.S. Embassy has said the men had criminal backgrounds and had robbed money and valuables at gunpoint from a Pakistani citizen in the same area minutes before the shootings.

According to American press, Davis is an employ of a Florida-based security company named M/s Hyperion Protective Consultants. The undercover security company has resemblance with Blackwater.
