Protest in Karachi Chehlum Procession for the detained Innocent Shia Men in False Cases

JNN 25 Jan 2011 Karachi : As per previous years Practice A central Grand Procession on Arbaeen , Chehlum e Imam Hussain and his fellow Martyr on the day of Ashura was taken out from Nishtar Park Karachi .

The Central Majlis was held at Nishtar Park , from where after the Majlis , the Mourners took out a Procession , in which other small Processions from Different parts of Karachi also joined in at Different intersections , while in the Process at the time of Zuhrain  , Thousands of azadar offered the Zuhrain Namaz infront of the Imambargah Ali Raza . After Zuhrain Prayer a Protest was recorded against the Illegtimate acts and policies of USA & Israel , and there flags were burnt , to show the peoples hatred towards American and Israeli Policies and Action , towards Muslims in General and Shia Community in special.

The protest was then further converted in to a sit in on the way of the Procession ,infront of the Imambargah , and few demands were presented By Moulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain to the government functionaries to resolve , in connection to the Detained Innocent Shia Men , who are tortured in the Prison , for the crimes they have never committed . The crowd chanted slogan against the corrupt Jail Police Superintendent , The sit-in remained for about 2 hours approximately , at the same place , which was resolved on the intervention of Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly Ms.Shehla Raza , which came herself to the Public and announced that their grieviences will be definitely addresed and there Just demand of transfer of the Innocent Shia Youth from Ward 9 , to the ward 29 , will be done at the same time , and other related matters will also be looked in positively.

After the Matter was resolved the Sit-In was called off, and the Azadar went ahead in the Mourning Procession , reciting Noha’s and beating their chest , on the route of the Procession , till the end Point Imam Bargah Hussainiyan Iranian . The Procession reached the end about 8.30P.M, from where the Mourners dispersed Peacefully .  As the Public transport Buses were arranged in coordination with JAP , which took the Azadar’s too all the Major Routes of the city.
