KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has said that Eid-ul-Fitar is expected on Saturday as the Shawal moon is sure to be viewed on Thursday..
.
According to the Director of Meteorological Department, Muhammad Ajmal Shamshad, the time for sighting moon on 29th of Ramadan will be very short. Consequently, the probability of Ruat-e-Hilal is only 10 to 12 percent.
He added that the chances of sighting the angle of the Shawal moon are also very least, so it is most obvious that this Ramadan will be completed with 30 days of fasts on Friday, followed by Eid-ul-Fitar on Saturday.
