World Shia Leader,Ayatullah Khamenei,Urges Quick Int'l Aid for Pakistan

Ayatollah Khamenei, has criticized international organizations for failing to administer aid to flooded Pakistan, urging Muslims’ quick assistance to help recover the country.

JNN News Agency, “Unfortunately, international organizations have not carried out their duties well to render services to disaster-stricken people, which itself needs to be analyzed and scrutinized,” Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in a statement on Tuesday.

Imam Khamenei called on all Muslims across the world to join hands in helping flood-hit Pakistanis.

“We are obliged to fulfill our duties and rush to help our devastated brothers and sisters,” the Leader said.

More than 1,600 Pakistanis have lost their lives in the floods that have hit nearly one fifth of the country. The UN says more than 17 million Pakistanis have been affected, as five million people have been made homeless as a result of the unprecedented floods.

The situation caused by the floods is worsening as hunger, lack of hygiene and drinking water, and the threat of an epidemic have put lives of many Pakistanis at risk.

The flooding is considered the worst in the country’s history.

Syed Nasrallah and Sunni Leader Vow to Compensate Victims, Stress Unity

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and leader of the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects Sheikh Hussam Qaraqira stressed in a meeting that last Tuesday individual clashes in Burj Abi Haidar “had no political background and were not sectarian.”

JNN News Agency, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and leader of the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects Sheikh Hussam Qaraqira stressed in a meeting that last Tuesday individual clashes in Burj Abi Haidar “had no political background and were not sectarian.”

A statement released by Hezbollah’s media office said that Sayyed Nasrallah and Al-Ahbash leader agreed to take all measures necessary to prevent the recurrence of similar deadly incidents and emphasized the importance of unity between Shia and Sunni.

Both leaders decided to form a joint committee to compensate for those who sustained damages during the clashes, it said.

The two sides also stressed the importance of the army’s role in safeguarding security and vowed they would make efforts to help the investigation carried out by the Lebanese army into the clashes, according to the statement. They rejected verbal attacks and accusations against it.

As Safir newspaper quoted Hezbollah leadership sources as saying that in the first days of the clashes, the party tried to contain the negative stances against it. However, it realized that there was an organized campaign against it through the speeches and statements of March 14 officials, the sources said.

They told As Safir that Hariri did not deal with the incidents as a statesman rather than as the Future movement leader and the chief of a certain faction. The speeches that Hariri made during Iftar banquets in the past few days contradict with his own calls for calm, the sources said.

In a related development, Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) Commander General Jean Kahwaji said the number of arrests linked to the clashes has risen to 10 not 4 as previously reported.

“What is required is that no one ignites a fire and then demand the army put it out,” Kahwaji told As-Safir newspaper in comments published on Monday.

On Sunday, Hezbollah MP Mohammad Raad slammed those whom he said were exploiting the Borj Abi Haidar incident to promote sectarian strife in Beirut.

“Some people are insisting on making statements with slogans and incitement that only serve to fuel the fire of division and strife. These voices are not keen to protect society, the people or the state,” Raad said.

“Tours of the areas where the clashes took place in Borj Abi Haidar aim to deepen division,” Raad added, in reference to visits by Hariri and Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Qabbani to Borj Abi Haidar.

Hazrat Ali’s (AS) martyrdom day termed ‘most sensitive’

JNN 29.08.10 Intelligence reports claim terrorists planning to strike on aforementioned day to spread sectarian violence across province

LAHORE: Intelligence agencies declared the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (AS) the most sensitive across the country, especially in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan, with regards to the ongoing wave of terrorism, sources told JNN on Sunday, adding that reports had been forwarded to the authorities concerned in this regard.

The sources said that intelligence personnel, in their reports, had mentioned that some of the terrorist groups could use the martyrdom day to spread sectarian violence in the province.

They said that terrorist groups had earlier planned terrorism activities during the holy month of Ramazan that were delayed due to the flood and later again delayed due to the occurrence of a severe clash between groups of local Taliban and the Punjabi Taliban in the South Waziristan area of Dandy Darpa Khail.

The sources said that intelligence personnel, in their reports, expressed the fear that terrorist groups could now carry out any activity in the aforementioned cities to create sectarian violence in the province.

They claimed that the confessions of arrested terrorists during investigations also supported the intelligence reports, adding that during investigation, several arrested terrorists had confessed about terrorist plans during the holy months of Ramazan and Moharram to spread sectarian violence in the province.

The sources said the arrested terrorists had disclosed that their cohorts could also start a wave of target killings in which they would target people of different schools of thought, besides a campaign of suicide bombings and other terrorist activities.

“The arrested terrorists had also disclosed that in the provincial capital alone, of eight groups were operating individually who were later brought together following the decision of their elders. These groups had completed their basic homework and were waiting for the right time to act,” the sources said, adding that following the revelation of the arrested terrorists, several teams consisting of personnel of different law enforcement agencies had not only arrested more terrorist, but also recovered several other ‘items’ related to terrorist activities, including maps.

The sources said that the apprehensions of intelligence personnel had been forwarded to the authorities concerned across the province. “Following which, the provincial authorities have take several steps to avoid any unpleasant incident and a special operation for the arrest of terrorists is also under process,” they said.

Sarkozy’s wife is as ‘prostitute’ : Irani media

JNN 28.08.10 Media bashing comes after France’s First Lady Carla Bruni campaigns for woman threatened with stoning

* State TV says Bruni supporting Sakineh to justify her own immorality

PARIS: Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been branded a ‘prostitute’ by Iran after she publicly attacked the country for threatening to stone a woman to death.

France’s First Lady is part of a campaign to save the life of Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, a 43-year-old mother of two.

She is accused of cheating on her husband and then helping to kill him, and is now facing capital punishment for her crimes. Ms Bruni-Sarkozy, who became President Nicolas Sarkozy’s third wife two years ago, has signed a petition calling for Sakineh’s release. Last week the former supermodel said: ‘I just can’t see what good could come out of this macabre ceremony, whatever the judicial reasons put forward to justify it.’

But Kayhan (which means ‘Universe’ in English), the Iranian daily newspaper which acts as a mouthpiece for the country’s regime, has now accused 42-year-old Ms Bruni-Sarkozy of being a hypocrite.

An editorial in the paper points to her chequered love life, which has included numerous relationships with high-profile celebrities. Entitled ‘French prostitutes join the human rights protest,’ the article singles out Ms Bruni-Sarkozy and Isabelle Adjani, the French actress and friend of the First Lady who is also calling for Sakineh’s release. Kayhan aims to ‘defend the ideology of the Islamic Revolution’ and is directly under the supervision of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s government.

Iranian state television also attacked Ms Bruni-Sarkozy for her support for Sakineh, saying she was using it to try and justify her own immorality. The Elysee Palace had no formal reaction to the slurs in the Iranian media, but an insider said Ms Bruni-Sarkozy was ‘deeply shocked’ by the personal attack. agencies

Shab-e-Zarbat (Nineteenth of Mah-e-Ramazan) or Night of attack on Imam Ali (A.S.) at Kufa Mosque

JNN 29.08.10 Shab-e-Zarbat (Nineteenth of Mah-e-Ramazan) or Night of attack on Imam Ali (A.S.) at Kufa Mosque

On the 19th of Ramadan month (Mah-e-Ramazan) of the year 40 A.H, Imam Ali (pbuh) came to the mosque in Kufa for his morning prayers. Imam Ali (pbuh) gave the call for prayer (Azaan) and became engaged in leading the congregation. Abd-al-Rahman ibn Muljam pretending to pray, stood just behind Imam Ali (pbuh), and when Imam Ali (pbuh) was in a state of prostration, Abd-al-Rahman ibn Muljam dealt a heavy stroke with his sword, inflicting a deep wound on Imam Ali’s (pbuh) head.

The Holy Prophet (pbuh) had prophesied the assassination of Imam Ali (pbuh) and his issues. Regarding Imam Ali (pbuh) he (pbuh) had said, “O Ali! I see before my eyes thy beard dyed with the blood of thy forehead.”

They assassinated Imam Ali (pbuh) at his finest time – the hour of standing before Allah, the Exalted, during a prayer of submission, in the best of days, while fasting during the month of Ramadan (Mah-e-Ramazan); during the most glorious Islamic duties, while preparing to wage jihad, and in the highest and most pure divine places, the Mosque of Kufa.

May joy be to Amir al-Muminin Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (pbuh) and a blessed afterlife!

The crime of assassinating Imam Ali (pbuh) remains one of the most cruel, brutal and hideous, because it was not committed against one man, but against the whole rational Islamic leadership. By assassinating Imam Ali (pbuh), they actually aimed at assassinating the message, the history, the culture and the nation of Muslims embodied in the person of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (pbuh). In doing so, the Islamic nation lost its guide of progress, and at the most wondrous opportunity in its life after the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

Imam Ali (pbuh) suffered from his wound for three days, and He (pbuh) passed away on 21st of the month of Ramadan (Mah-e-Ramazan) at an age of 63 years.

During these three days, he (pbuh) entrusted his son, Imam Hasan (pbuh) with the Imamate of guiding the nation ideologically and socially. During those three days, as during all his life, he never ceased remembering Allah, praising Him, and accepting Him and His ordinance.

Likewise, he continued giving pieces of advice and directions leading to good, pointing to the right, defining the way to guidance, explaining the course for deliverance, calling for the observance of Allah’s ordinances, and warning against following one’s ill desires and set-backs from not carrying out the divine message.

The following is one piece of advice offered to his sons, Imam Hasan (pbuh) and Imam Hussain (pbuh), as well as to his people, the nation and coming generations:

“I advise you to fear Allah, and not to run after (the pleasure of) the world, even if it may run after you. Do not be sorry for anything from it which you have been denied. Say the truth and act for (Allah’s) reward. Be an enemy of the oppressor, and be a helper of the oppressed.”

“I advise you, my children, my household and all those who may receive my message, to fear Allah, to arrange your affairs well, to maintain good relations among yourselves, for I have heard your grandfather (pbuh) saying: ‘Good relations are better than prayer and fasting in general.'”

“(Fear) Allah when handling matters of orphans. Do not let them starve, nor allow them to be lost as long as you are there.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to your neighbors, for they were the trust of your Prophet (pbuh). He went on asking us to take care of them, so much that we thought he would make them heirs (of our heritage).”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to the Holy Quran, (take care that) no one may excel you in following its tenets.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to prayer, as it is the pillar of your religion.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to your Lord’s House (Kaaba), do not forsake it so long as you live, because if you do you will not be looked upon with respect.”

“(Fear) Allah in respect to Jihad, fight with your wealth, your lives and your tongues, in the way of Allah.”

“Have mutual liaison and give-and-take. Beware of turning your faces from, and of renouncing, one another. Do not abandon bidding good and forbidding evil, lest vicious people may overrule you, and then in such a case, your invocations will not be responded to (by Allah).”

Then he said: “O, Banu Abdul Muttalib, certainly I do not want you to wade through the blood of the Muslims, crying: Amir al-Muminin was murdered. You certainly kill for me no one but my killer.”

“Wait till I die by this stroke of him (Abd-al-Rahman ibn Muljam), then strike a single stroke against him, and do not disfigure his body, for I had heard the Holy Prophet (pbuh) saying: ‘Avoid mayhem even with a rabid dog.'”

Such was the heroic end of this great man! The loss to the Mission and the nation was the gravest after the loss of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

By the death of Imam Ali (pbuh) the nation lost:

A heroism that had become the song of the time;

A courageous history that has never dreamt of its like;

A wisdom no one can fathom, save Allah;

A purity, the like of which was only in the prophets;

An abstinence from the pleasures of life that could be attained only by the nearest to Allah;

An eloquence such as to be the echo of Book; and

A jurisprudence, and a thorough knowledge of the laws of religion, that made him the ‘gateway of the city’ of the Prophet’s knowledge, and the authority to whom the Islamic nation referred in all its affairs.

Peace be upon Amir al-Muminin the day he was born, the day he was martyred on his altar.

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

Al-Qaeda Claims Ramadan Attacks in Iraq

Al-Qaeda has said it was behind a wave of attacks across Iraq during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, a US monitoring group said on Saturday.

Al-Qaeda front group, the Islamic State of Iraq, said that during “the month of fasting and jihad” it launched a “new earth-shaking wave” in its campaign of violence, the SITE Intelligence Group said.

In the statement posted on Islamist forums on Friday, the militants said they targeted “headquarters, centres and security barriers for the army and apostate police.”

On Wednesday, more than a dozen apparently coordinated car bombs targeting Iraqi police and other attacks blamed on Al-Qaeda hit 10 cities and towns around the country, killing 53 people and wounding hundreds.

Iraq has witnessed an upsurge in violence during Ramadan, when insurgents typically step up their activity.

The spike in unrest has triggered concern that Iraqi forces are not yet ready to handle security on their own, just days before the US military ends its combat mission in Iraq, and with no new government formed in Baghdad since a March 7 general election.

Grand Shia Cleric: Libya Liable for Moussa Sadr Abduction

Top Shia Cleric “Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi” says Tripoli should take responsibility for the abduction of a Lebanese Shia leader, who went missing on Libyan soil more than three decades ago.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency, “If an Israeli soldier hides somewhere, the issue is immediately investigated, but on the abduction of a great character like Imam Moussa al-Sadr there is no action,” Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi said on Thursday.

Speaking to a high-ranking Lebanese delegation on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the abduction of Imam Moussa al-Sadr, the prominent Iranian cleric described the Lebanese leader as an icon who belonged not only to Lebanon but to the whole Muslim community.

Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi hailed Imam Moussa al-Sadr’s contributions to Lebanon, the Islamic Revolution in Iran and all Muslims, and called for more active investigation into his disappearance.

Khalil Hamdan, the head of the Lebanese delegation, thanked Tehran for its continued efforts to discover the fate of the senior Lebanese cleric.

Hamdan further referred to inquiries by the Lebanese judiciary authorities and the Iranian parliament, insisting that the cleric was “alive and held in Libya.”

It is widely believed in Lebanon that Imam Moussa al-Sadr, the founder of the Lebanon’s Amal movement, was kidnapped on the orders of senior Libyan officials while on an official trip to Libya in August 1978.

Accompanied by two of his companions, Mohammed Yaqoub and Abbas Badreddin, Sadr was scheduled to meet with officials from the government of the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

In 2008, the government in Beirut issued an arrest warrant for Gaddafi over Sadr’s disappearance.

Bahrain Shia Party Threatens Election Boycott

Quraeah, Bahrain – A Shiite Muslim opposition party Wednesday threatened to boycott Bahrain’s parliamentary elections, due in October, unless democratic reforms are introduced.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency, Quraeah, Bahrain – A Shiite Muslim opposition party Wednesday threatened to boycott Bahrain’s parliamentary elections, due in October, unless democratic reforms are introduced.

The Islamic Action Society (Amal) said it wanted to see constitutional reforms aimed at making parliament more independent.

“We not only believe that the current parliament does not create the grounds for participation in shaping the country’s future, but in fact see it as a hindrance to building a democratic state and one that empowers corruption,” Sheikh Mohammed Ali al Mahfood, the secretary general of Amal, told reporters.

The other three opposition groupings, which comprise Shiite Islamists, pan-Arabs, and communists, have confirmed that they will be contesting the elections, which are set for October 23.

PESHAWAR: Suspected militants attacked army buildings near the US consulate in Pakistan's northwestern capital Peshawar on Saturday, police said.

Police said a number of armed fighters tried to get into a secure area close to the consulate and army buildings early in the morning and that exchanges of fire between the attackers and security forces were continuing.

“There target is not clear but they were trying to reach a very sensitive area. There is the US consulate and army offices and buildings in that area,” Karim Khan, a senior police official in Peshawar, told AFP.

“The US consulate is completely safe,” he added.

Richard Snelsire, a spokesman for the US Embassy in Islamabad, told AFP he had “no information right now” on whether the consulate was the intended target.

Police said the army had sealed off the site of the attack, preventing anyone from entering, while intermittent gunfire continued.

An AFP reporter at the scene said army and police had blocked all the roads into the area while helicopters patrolled the skies.

Bashir Bilour, a provincial cabinet minister whose home is in front of the consulate, said: “The first round of firing continued for 30 minutes. I don’t know what’s going on but the army has sealed off the whole area and firing is still continuing.” “Soldiers have also entered my Hujra (Visitors compound). I cannot go outside,” he added. – AFP

Officials: US drone strike kills 6 Muslims in NW Pakistan

A US drone fired four missiles on two vehicles in the Shaidano Dand area in Lower Kurram tehsil of the Kurram Agency on Friday night.

The death toll is expected to rise further as more people are trapped under the rubble of a building. “A rescue operation is underway,” a local official told Press TV.

According to local residents, the drones were still carrying out aerial flights over the area, creating panic among local people.

The identities of those killed in the attack were not immediately known. There is darkness in the area and it is very difficult to get information, a local official based in Parachinar, the main town of Kurram Agency, said.

Since August 2008, about one thousand people have died in about 100 raids by US drones.

US drones frequently targeted South and North Waziristan of the Pakistani tribal areas. Pakistan officials, however, believe that militants have shifted from Waziristan and the Orakzai Agency to the Kurram Agency after starting military operations last year.

Castro: Bin Laden is a CIA agent

Fidel Castro says al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is a CIA agent who always popped up when former president George W Bush needed to scare the world.

‘Any time Bush would stir up fear and make a big speech, bin Laden would appear threatening people with a story about what he was going to do,’ Castro told state media during a meeting with a Lithuanian-born writer known for advancing conspiracy theories about world domination. ‘Bush never lacked for bin Laden’s support. He was a subordinate.’

Castro said documents posted on WikiLeaks.org – a website that recently released thousands of pages of classified documents from the Afghan war – ‘effectively proved he was a CIA agent’. He did not elaborate.

Castro officially stepped down in February 2008, and Cuba’s National Assembly elected his brother Raul Castro as the new president.

Castro, who turned 84 on August 13, returned to public life on July 7 after four years of convalescence from a serious illness.

Iranian firm to buy Daewoo Electronics

JNN 25.08.10 Creditors of Daewoo Electronics are about to ink a deal to sell the South Korea’s number 3 electronics firm to Iranian home appliance maker Entekhab Industrial Group.

The South Korean company’s creditors including Woori Bank, chose in April Iran’s Entekhab Industrial Group as the preferred bidder for their 97.5 percent stake in Daewoo Electronics, Yonhap news agency quoted financial sources as saying on Tuesday.

The final decision will be reached after the creditors end negotiations with Entekhab on the sale price during a meeting to be held next week.

The sale price is estimated to be at a range of 470 billion won ($395.7 million) to 520 billion won which is considerably lower than the 605 billion won (508 million U.S. dollars) Entekhab had originally offered to pay.

“Majority creditors are expected to agree on the sale plan even though the sale price is lower than before,” a creditor bank official said. “The sale of Daewoo Electronics sale has been delayed so long and there is no guarantee that we can receive higher prices from other prospective buyers.”

Daewoo Electronics, a former subsidiary of the Daewoo Group which collapsed during the Asian financial crisis, was put under a debt workout program in January 2000.

Creditors’ previous attempts to sell the company in 2006 and 2008 went in vain due to disputes over the bidding price.

A person familiar with the situation said in July that Entekhab sought to lower its initial bid price after identifying losses in Daewoo’s books.

Ahmadinejad to visit flood-hit Pakistan,Iran envoy visits Pakistan flooded areas ,

JNN 25.08.10 Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad plans to visit flood-ravaged Pakistan in the near future, as the United Nations continues calling on governments for assistance.

“Due to the severity of the disaster, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has decided to visit Pakistan to make decisions required to better supply relief to the victims,” Iran’s Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said on Wednesday.

The minister further added that the Islamic Republic would use all its facilities to help the survivors of the disaster in Pakistan.

“The survivors are prone to infectious diseases which may spread to neighboring states; therefore, precautionary measures should be adopted,” Najjar went on to say.

Iran, which was among the first countries to send aid to Pakistan, has so far dispatched 330 tons of humanitarian aid, including food, water, medicine and tents to its eastern neighbor.

Deadly rains in Pakistan left more than 1,600 people dead and affected 20 million lives within 25 days. The disaster is far from over as the country braces itself for a fresh wave of floods in the country’s south.

Floodwaters have surged deeper into areas of Sindh province in southern Pakistan. More rains have been forecast for several parts of the flood-stricken country.

The deputy consul general of Iran in Pakistan has visited flood-stricken areas of the country to assess how to provide medical services to the affected people.

Hadi Sheikh Ghafouri, accompanied by a team of doctors, visited Sukkur town in southern Pakistan, where he was briefed about relief and rescue work and medical assistance provided to the people of the district and the surrounding areas of Sindh province, a Press TV correspondent reported Thursday.

The envoy offered his sympathy to the Pakistani victims and said the Iranian government will provide Islamabad with medical assistance.

“Medicines, field hospitals and public health teams will be provided to the flood affected people of Sukkur,” he went on to say.

More than 1,600 Pakistanis have lost their lives in the heavy floods that have hit nearly one fifth of the country.

Iran was among the first countries to send aid to Pakistan as the UN was calling for aid for the victims.

Iran’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Mashallah Shakeri, said on Wednesday that Iran has so far sent more than 400 tons of humanitarian supplies including tents, blankets, food stuff and medication to the country.

Shakeri said that a team of seven Iranian doctors were in Pakistan to assess the medical needs, adding that Iran would also establish three field hospitals in the country.

The situation caused by the floods is worsening as hunger, lack of hygiene and drinking water, and the threat of an epidemic have put lives of many Pakistanis at risk.

Iran-made plane engines show up soon

JNN 25.08.10 Iran will become self-sufficient in the production of light airplane engines by the year’s end, head of Iran Air Industries Organization says.

“Iran has great potential in the production of small aircraft engines [and] can even manufacture customized engines suitable for both domestic and international use,” IRIB reported Manouchehr Manteqi, director of the country’s Air Industries Organization, as saying on Thursday.

According to Manteqi, Iran seeks to produce heavy plane engines within the next five years.

He further pointed out that Iran has a great deal of the technical know-how for the production of heavier aircraft fuselage and wings.

In 2009, Iran announced plans for the production of Ukraine’s Antonov An-148 mid-range jet airliner.

The plans were meant to provide the country’s air transportation sector with the 20,000 seats it needs.

The manufacturing cost of each An-148 unit, which can carry between 85 and 99 passengers, is estimated at $18-$22 million.

Iran is cooperating with Ukraine and Russia in the production and operation of the Antonov An-140 airliner, which can carry 52 passengers.

After purchasing the production license for An-140 from Ukraine in 2000, Iran built its first Iran-140 passenger plane in 2003

Iran 3rd biggest donor to Pakistan

JNN 23.08.10 Iran is one of the three countries to send the highest amount of relief aid to the flood-inundated Pakistan, Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar says.

So far, Iran has sent more than 200 tons in aid for the flood-ravaged people of Pakistan, Mohammad Najjar said at a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Rehman Malek on Monday.

The relief aid includes food, medicine, blankets, tents, and other necessary items delivered to the Pakistani officials, the Interior Ministry’s official website reported.

“From the very first days of the recent devastating floods in Pakistan, the Islamic Republic of Iran rushed to help the people of that country and dispatched its aids to Pakistan through its governmental and non-governmental agencies,” Mohammad Najjar added.

At least 1,500 people have so far been killed in the floods which have washed through a fifth of Pakistan. The floods have affected up to 20 million others to become the country’s worst-ever natural disaster.

The minister said he plans to visit the flood-stricken areas as the head of an Iranian delegation.

Bahrain's Shia leader Condemns Continued Arrests, Reversing 10 Years of Sectarian Progress

JNN 23.08.10 MANAMA, Bahrain — Bahrain’s top Shia politician said a crackdown on Shiite protesters by Sunni rulers (just who follow US rules) has destroyed a decade of stable sectarian relations as the tiny Gulf state heads into parliamentary elections scheduled for October.

MANAMA, Bahrain — Bahrain’s top Shia politician said a crackdown on Shiite protesters by Sunni rulers (just who follow US rules) has destroyed a decade of stable sectarian relations as the tiny Gulf state heads into parliamentary elections scheduled for October.

The wave of detentions — at least 160, according to one lawyer — has spilled over into near daily clashes between the majority Shiites and Sunni-led security forces and fueled concerns of deeper unrest and heavy-handed tactics in the home of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

Any serious breakdown in Bahrain has possible wider repercussions.

In April, Bahraini officials warned they could file charges against anyone posting news or commentary on mobile phones.

“The way the ongoing security campaign has been handled and the rights violations that accompanied it have in one week destroyed 10 years of progress in this country,” said Sheik Ali Salman, the head of Wefaq society, the largest Shiite bloc in Bahrain’s parliament at a press conference Saturday.

Shiites make up as much as 70 percent of Bahrain’s population, according to a 2008 State Department report.

Salman also accused the government of tarnishing Bahrain’s human rights record, and warned violence would not solve the continued problems between the two groups. Several prominent international rights groups, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, have denounced the recent arrests.

Shiites have complained of discrimination for decades. They say Sunnis get the best government jobs and housing, while Shiites are barred from high posts in the military and security forces and suffer from higher rates of poverty.

A government statement issued Saturday blamed internationally funded insurgents for trying to disrupt national security. It also said the suspects were arrested according to Bahraini anti-terrorism laws.

Lawyer Mohammed al-Tajir estimates that over the past week 160 people have been detained, including 10 high level leaders.

“The number is on the rise from last week and differs from one lawyer to another,” he said. “We are having trouble meeting with the detainees and finding out where they are kept.”

JNN correspondent reported several arrests of key Shiite leaders in Saudi Arabia.

Iran unveils home-built combat drone

JNN 21.08.10 Iran unveils its first domestically-manufactured long-range Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in a ceremony marking Defense Industry Day in the country.

The unveiling of the home-made drone, named Karrar took place in the presence of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and a number of defense officials.

The Karrar UAV is capable of carrying a military payload of rockets to carry out bombing missions against ground targets. It is also capable of flying long distances at a very high speed.

Iran’s defense industries have demonstrated spectacular progress in the recent year, launching numerous domestically-built armaments, including aerial and sea-borne military vehicles such as submarines, combat frigates, and various types of missiles.

Iran inaugurated the production line of two domistically-built UAVs with bombing and reconnaissance capabilities.

The two hi-tech drones named ‘Ra’d’ (Thunder) and ‘Nazir’ (Harbinger) are capable of performing long-range reconnaissance, patrolling, assault and bombing missions with high precision.

Ra’d, a UAV especially designed for assault and bombing missions, has the capability to destroy specific targets with high precision.

Tehran established an arms development program during the 1980-88 war that Iraq waged against Iran to counter the weapons embargo imposed on it by the US and its Western allies. Since 1992, Iran has manufactured its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles and fighter planes.

Iran successfully tested a home-made radar-evading UAV with bombing capabilities in June 2009.

In 2008, the Islamic Republic’s Defense Industries launched production lines of two home-built fighter jets, namely Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) and Azarakhsh (Lightening).

Riyadh plans to sabotage Hezbollah

JNN 21.08.10 Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah is spending $500 million to implicate Hezbollah in the murder of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri, a report says.

Hezbollah has new evidence about the murder of Hariri that, if revealed, would be damaging to Al-Saud, Saudi Arabia’s royal family, the official website of Lebanon’s Free Patriotic Movement party said on Sunday.

Nasrallah’s commitment to maintain Lebanon’s peace and unity has forced him to not to disclose the evidence, the report said.

“King Abdullah has allocated $500 million… to finance propaganda against Hezbollah, but Saudi Arabia’s objective is not only to ruin the reputation of Hezbollah… but to tarnish the image of Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah,” the Lebanese website quoted a Saudi Arabian opposition official as saying.

Rafiq Hariri, the father of incumbent Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, was killed in a massive car bomb explosion in Beirut in February 2005.

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which was set up by the UN and the Lebanese government in May 2007, is investigating the assassination.

Last week, Nasrallah presented evidence of Israeli involvement in the assassination of Hariri in a massive car bomb explosion in 2005.

The evidence included footage from Israeli spy drones of routes used by Hariri and recorded confessions by Israeli spies substantiating that the assassination of Hariri was carried out on orders from Tel Aviv.

Army Operation Much Needed in Karachi

JNN 18.08.10 A very old demand of the Shia community in Karachi , is now coming from all Parts of the society ,and all the parties which are the part of the government and which are sitting out of the government , that a much awaited Operation Clean up  by the Pakistan Army  is much needed in Karachi , to cleanse it from the terrorist of the banned Organisations , who are involved in the Sectarian , Linguistic , and regional conflicts , Target Killing and fanning all type of dis Integration in Karachi , as it is not only called the Mini Pakistan , but as it has even proved that if Karachi is destabilized whole of the Nation is destabilized .

Black Water trained terrorist of Sipah e Sahaba , Martyred Khadim Hussain

Karachi: Mirza Khadim Hussain son of Moulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain shot martyred in an incident of target killing in Nazimabad locality on Monday night by the terrorist of Banned Sipah e Sahaba. Police investigators believed that the same nexus of target killers who assassinated MQM MPA Syed Raza Haider and various Shia men who had been gunned down in the recent spate of target killing is behind the killing of Shia leader’s son killing.

A 37-year-old Khadim Hussain, son of Moulana Mirza Yousuf Hussain was gunned down near Shalimar Park within the limits of Nazimabad police station. The incident took place soon after the deceased left the house located in the same area for buying pan on a motorcycle. “The motorcyclists culprits taking advantage of the power failure in the locality targeted and shot him several times,” Ali Ahmer, Jaffaria Alliance Pakistan (JAP) spokesman said. The spokesman further said that the deceased received multiple bullets in his head, chest and neck and died shortly after he was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital .

As the news of his killing spread across the city, the score of Shia leaders, workers and relatives reached the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and chanted slogans against the failure of the government and the banned religious outfits.
Following the incident, tension and fear gripped up various parts of the city especially Shia dominated areas including Incholi, Malir Jaffer Tayyar, Abbas Town and others where the routine and commercial life suspended.
The deceased hailed from Gilgit and was a father of three children. In the incident, one passerby was also wounded.
MWM, JAP while condemning the incident blamed the banned outfit behind the target killing of the prominent Shia leader’s son and demanded the government to make arrest of the culprits behind the killing of Khadim and various other Shia men killed earlier in the ongoing targeted killing incidents.

The trend of Killing the Brothers and sons of Prominent Shia People is very dangerous as it shows that the terrorist wants to instigate the community for Riots and sectarian clashes , but the shia community have shown patience , as taught by there Imam , to be patient in the hours of distress . First the Brother of Pesh Imam of Jafaria Imam Bargah was target Killed, then the Brother of Trustee of Aza Khan e Zehra was target Killed , and now the Son of Pesh Imam of Masjid e Noor e Iman , and Leader of Shia Action Committe is Targeted and Killed .

JNN 16.08.10 In the evening of 5th Ramazan Mirza Khadim Hussain s/o Mirza Yousuf Hussain ,was Martyred in Nazimabad area,by  the terrorist of Banned Sipah e Sahaba ,who are working heavily in the same area ,but till yet all the Intelligence Agencies and Local Police have failed to nab the terroist, as this is about 7 to 8 Shia men have already been martyred in the same vicintiy earlier.

Mirza Yousuf Hussain is the Pesh Imam in Masjid e Noor e Iman and a Prominent Shia Aalim , and also Leader of  Shia Action Committe.

The trend of Killing the Brothers and sons of Prominent Shia People is very dangerous as it shows that the terrorist wants to instigate the community for Riots and sectarian clashes , but the shia community have shown patience , as taught by there Imam , to be patient in the hours of distress . First the Brother of Pesh Imam of Jafaria Imam Bargah

was target Killed , then the Brother of Trustee of Aza Khan e Zehra was target Killed , and now the Son of Pesh Imam of Masjid e Noor e Iman , and Leader of Shia Action Committe is Targeted and Killed .

The Namaz e Janaza  of Shaheed  Khadim Hussain was offered at Shah e Karbala , Rizvia Society,on 18.08.10  and the funeral procession was taken from Rizvia , and the burial was done at Wadi e Hussain , Grave Yard , Super Highway .

A token Sit in was also done at the Wadi E Husssain GraveYard , and the Super Highway was blocked for a little time , just to demonstrate the anger of the youth on the Target Killing of numerous Shia Men, and above all the arrest of the Shia youth from different Shia localities , the token Sit in was the called off , on the assurance of the Police high ups that the Youth will be released shortly , which was even endorsed by Mirza Yousuf Hussain  , who further added if the promise is not fulfilled , then we can protest on Friday on the Soyem of his Shaheed son.

The pattern of these Killing suggest that the Killers/Assasins are trained , and they want to ignite the  sectarian  clashes and disharmony among the different sects living in the Metropolis.

As just about six months back all the Media have confirmed the presence of the American firms like Black Water and Xee , which are known for there trained Assasins , and now after six months these target Killings , which has crossed the Mark , and now the NO. is in 4 digits,

proves that the Black Water Recruits are now the Parts of TTP , SSP , LeJ, and Jundullah, which are now acting on the orders of there masters , as this the same Pattern which they followed in Iraq. The Only difference is that there they were doing them selves , and here they have recruited and trained the Organisations like Sipah e Sahaba Pakistan, Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan ,Jundullah, Lashkar e Jhangvi, as the master of all of them is the same American Establishment , which is working rigrously to destabilize Pakistan , which gives them ground to be in

this region , and to monitor the region where the World Powers like China , India , and the coming up Power Iran is situated , as peace prevails in this region , then there is no need of America or its influence .

God save Pakistan , and Give us Leaders Loyal to Pakistan and Islam. Ameen.

Rush hour blasts kill four in Baghdad

Sunday’s deadliest strike came when a roadside bomb exploded at 7:15 a.m. local time next to a minibus heading from the Shia neighbourhood of Sadr City into downtown.

Police said three people were killed, including a police officer, and nine were wounded.

A hospital worker confirmed the casualties.

Earlier, three bombs planted a few meters away from each other in a downtown business district blew up simultaneously. Police and hospital officials said a bystander was killed and seven injured.

Top Saudi Shia Cleric Condemned Discrimination Against Shia Muslims

Sayyed al-Nasser says: “We will not accept any sectarian discrimination against us or derogation of any of our national rights.”

The renowned Shiite cleric Sayyed Muhammad Baqir al-Nasser condemned the continuous campaign of interrogation calls against the Shiite population in the city of Khobar by the Saudi authorities that ban group prayers for the Shiite population in Khobar.

On the last month, Sayyed al-Nasser indicated that the Shiite people of the city insist on their rights of performing group prayers by stating: “With God willing, we will pray in our sanctums and let the State bear the brunt of preventing our prayers.”

In referring to the possibility of his detention, Sayyed al-Nasser said: “If their repeated calls to me personally, using various pretexts, to prepare for my arrest, it will not change my position at all.”

The statement came after a series of interrogation calls to Sayyed al-Nasser and the most prominent Shiite and the supervisor of one of the mosques, Mr. Abdullah al-Muhanna.

Authorities have exerted steady pressures on Mr. al-Muhanna to refrain from providing group-praying places and discontinue hosting guests of Shiite figures.

Before, [ailing] Mr. al-Muhanna was detained for more than five weeks for the reason of establishing congregational prayers in the mosque, which is supervised by him and abutted to his home.

Sayyed al-Nasser said: “We will not accept any sectarian discrimination against us or any diminution of our national rights,” adding to that: “We have gotten tired of this moot argument about performing group prayers, and after today, we will not obey any mortal on the expense of the [blatant] words of God.”

Last year, the authorities closed down four Shiite mosques in al-Khobar. They also consistently refused to grant the Shiites official licenses for constructing mosques without providing a clear justification for such denial.

The Saudi Shiites constitute more than 15% of the country’s population and live mostly in the oil-rich region.

According to unofficial estimates, al-Khobar city hosts around twenty thousand Shiites.

In addition to the Shiite mosques in al-Khobar, authorities shut down five other Shiite mosques in the cities of Dammam, Abqaiq, Ras Tanura, and al-Khafji.

Saudi Arabia adamantly refuses to grant their Shiite citizens official licenses to construct mosques outside of their indigenous areas of al-Ahsa, Qatif, and Najran without giving a clear justification for such rejection.

The organization of “Human Rights Watch” described in a report earlier this year the situation of human rights in Saudi Arabia as “degraded” for two million Shiite citizens, which is of serious concerns.

Ignorant Saudi Wahhbis Attack Imam Mahdi (pbuh) Religious Ceremony in Holy Medina

Last month, The Saudi Wahhabi Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (SCPVPV), also known as Religious Police, had attacked a religious ceremony held in Al-Medina city on the occasion of the birth of Imam Mahdi, the Imam that Shiites believe to be the ultimate savior of humankind and the last Imam of the Twelve Imams.

The attack was carried against one of Al-Ahsa organizations that was celebrating the holy birth of Imam Mahdi in one of the hotels near the holy mosque of the Prophet Mohammad.

According to eyewitnesses, without prior notifications, some members of the SCPVPV attacked the location of the organization at one of the hotels and destroyed all of the paintings, the slogans, and banners that contain sayings of Prophet Mohammad and religious excerpts about Imam Mahdi. In addition, some of SCPVPV members forced the organizers of the ceremony to cancel the events immediately.

Coincidently, the attack occurred at the same time when Sheik Ali Al-Hejji was delivering a religious oration for his audience.

No information reported about casualties or arrests of the organizers by the SCPVPV.

Nonetheless, the SCPVPV imposes strict rules on the Shia visitors of the holy mosque of Prophet Mohammed and Al-Baqi cemetery, in which it reached the limit to prevent them from carrying prayer booklets that the SCPVPV considers as polytheistic books.

Additionally, it is rare to record incidents of attacks on religious ceremonies held by Al-Hajj and Al-Umra organizations at their locations in hotels.

Dozens of Al-Umra and Al-Hajj organizations from Al-Ahsa and Al-Qatif go to the cities of Mecca and Medina during the summer break to spend their time in performing rites of minor hajj (Umra) in Mecca and visiting Prophet Mohammed in Medina.

However, many radical Salafi websites reported unconfirmed information about an intense security presence in the vicinity of the holy mosque of Prophet Mohammed and the cemetery of Al-Baqi.

Last year, the SCPVPV supported by the Saudi security guards were blamed for one of the deadliest attacks yet on thousands of Shia pilgrims of the holy mosque of Prophet Mohammed in a dramatic seen in which the Saudi security guards arrested dozens of Shia pilgrims; lately, the incident has been known as Al-Baqi’s events.

Iranian Grand Shia Cleric Authorizes Donation of Part of Khoms Charity Tax to Pakistan Flood Victims

Grand Ayatollah Ali Safi Golpayegani issued a statement on Saturday authorizing that a third of the Imam’s share of the khoms charity tax be donated to floods victims in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s worst floods in 80 years have left 20 million people homeless and six million without food, medicine, or shelter.

A third of Pakistan is now under water, and fresh rainfall threatens two more waves of flooding in the southern province of Sindh.

According to the Encyclopedia of the Middle East, the Khoms charity tax as interpreted by the Jafari school of Shia Islam consists of a “tax on one fifth of the income, in addition to the zakat. It is calculated as a capital gains tax. The tax is paid to the governor, but it is voluntary and is never a forced exaction.”

According to the book Religion, Globalization, and Political Culture in the Third World, edited by Jeffrey Haynes, “Half of the khoms, known as the Imam’s share (sahm-e imam or vodjuhat) is generally collected by a network of mosques and is centralized by the devotional leaders (marja taqlid)… It is intended to ensure the material upkeep of the clergy.”

In response to the severe flooding in the Islamic state of Pakistan, which has claimed many lives and brought devastation to the Muslim people of that county, Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani expresses his condolences and allows a third of the Imam’s share to be donated as humanitarian assistance for Pakistan, the statement said.

Iran develops auto industry robots

JNN 14.08.10 Iranian researchers have, for the first time in the country, developed ten robots for the nation’s automotive industry using domestic knowhow.

The robots designed and developed by researchers at Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology cost a third of similar foreign-made robots, IRNA quoted a senior authority at the university as saying.

Mohammad Tabatabai added the robots are currently operational on the production line at giant Iranian auto maker Irankhodro.

The robots have different applications, he said.

For example, he added, they can be used in producing cylinders and cylinder heads as well as holding and moving parts.

Netanyahu to travel with Mossad agents

JNN 14.08.10 Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been forced to seek Mossad’s help on organizing his Greece visit as Israeli’s foreign ministry staff are currently on strike.

Foreign ministry employees in Israel are on strike in protest at the low pay and benefits they receive compared with the Mossad, Shin Bet and other government agencies with missions abroad. As a result, some 100 Israeli embassies throughout the world are refusing to go to work.

The unusual decision by the prime minister sparked anger among foreign ministry officials, who accuse Netanyahu of trying to break a legal strike by using another body.

Israeli diplomats have also vowed to cut off contact with all units of the Mossad, which is preparing Netanyahu’s Greece visit through its network of residents abroad who have close contacts with government officials and security agencies in the host country.

Meanwhile, the employees of Israel’s Athens embassy have boycotted Netanyahu’s trip.

“The ambassador will not meet the prime minister at the airport and nobody from the foreign ministry will lift a finger for this trip,” a foreign ministry workers’ committee source said.

“It is unacceptable that the prime minister would use another body, which is strictly in charge of security matters, to break a strike,” the source added.

According to Israeli media, the Athens visit is too important to be delayed as it is intended to strengthen ties with Greece after Israel failed to repair its once strong relations with former regional ally Turkey.

Netanyahu is due to travel to Greece on Monday for talks with Prime Minister George Papandreou and other leading officials.

US rabbi to hold anti-Israel rallies

JNN 14.08.10 A rabbi has sharply criticized the Israeli regime for its crimes against Palestinians, saying Tel Aviv is not the representative of Jewish people.

In an interview with IRNA in New York, David Feldman, an anti-Zionist campaigner, also announced plans to organize protest rallies in several countries against Israeli violence on Palestinians.

The rabbi noted on Saturday that the protesters intend to raise public awareness that Israel is an anti-Semitic regime and it should lift its siege on the impoverished Gaza Strip.

Israel has imposed a crippling blockade on the coastal enclave since 2007. The 1.5 million population of Gaza have endured severe conditions, constantly suffering from lack of basic living supplies.

Feldman emphasized that rabbis have always been opposed to Zionism and Israel, adding that the demonstrators will be carrying posters at their rallies to express anger toward the regime.

He said that his organization had held several demonstrations in Canada and the United States so far.

The rabbi also said that the people around the world are not aware of Israeli crimes against the innocent people of Palestine and it is our responsibility to expose the crimes committed by Israel.

Hezbollah shares Hariri case evidence

JNN 14.08.10 Hezbollah says it is ready to hand over evidence proving Israel’s involvement in the murder of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri to Lebanese authorities.

Hezbollah officials said on Friday that since the resistance movement does not trust the tribunal investigating Hariri’s assassination, they would pass the sensitive material to the Lebanese judiciary.

“What Lebanon’s jurisdiction asks for we will provide, and what they do with that is their responsibility,” State Minister for Administrative Development Mohammed Fneish told AFP.

“Our position has not changed, however. Our evidence is in the hands of the Lebanese government… but that does not alter our view of the tribunal, which is that it has no credibility,” the Hezbollah minister added.

Hezbollah lawmaker Nawaf Mousawi also said that it is up to Lebanese authorities to give the information to the UN tribunal.

Hezbollah’s Friday decision came after the UN tribunal probing the murder of former Lebanese premier called on the Shia group to submit all the information it has and assist the inquiry.

Some political analysts, however, believe Chief prosecutor Daniel Bellemare’s request was “merely an attempt to enhance the credibility of the tribunal.”

Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah on Monday presented new indications of Israeli involvement in the killing of Hariri in a massive car bomb explosion in 2005.

The evidence included footage from Israeli spy drones of routes used by Hariri and recorded confessions by Israeli spies substantiating that the assassination of Hariri was carried out on orders from Tel Aviv.

Imam Khamenei Commends Enthusiasm for Quran

World Shia Leader recommended that people make an attempt to understand the concepts in the Quran and abide by them in addition to reciting the holy book.

Imam Khamenei further pointed out that mastery of Quran translation would lead to a better understanding and interpretation of the teachings of Islam’s holy book.

The Leader made the comments on August 12 during a ceremony on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in Iran.

Muslims observing Ramadan fast between sunrise and sunset.

Another Young Shia Martyred while the Death toll in Karachi unrest tops 1000

JNN 11.08.10 Another Young Shia Man Zakir Hussain s/o Mutawali Ali , aged 34 , working for a Tea Supply Co. , was gunned down by the terrorists in the early hours of the day, near Tariq Road .

The Deceased was the resident of A . B. Cinea Lines Area , while all his family members were in Nagar Khas , A Town of Gilgit , Baltistan. A new Province , from the northern Area of Pakistan.

Clashes between rival ethnic groups , and the target Killing of the Sectarian terrorists have left at least 1,000 people dead in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi over the past seven months, officials say.

Karachi police chief, Waseem Ahmed, told reporters on Thursday that hundreds were victims of targeted killings.

The police official added that over 300 localities of the port city have been declared sensitive, a JNN correspondent reported.

The unrest has prompted the authorities to arrest 40 suspects and deploy extra troops to control the situation in Karachi.

The government has blamed pro-Taliban militants and the banned group of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan for most of the deaths in recent days.

Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, is also home to numerous ethnic groups ands sectarian groups while the city has been wracked by clashes between rival ethnic and political factions for much of the 1990s.

Prominent Shia Businessmen Martyred in the Ongoing Target Killing in Karachi.

JNN 10.08.10 Karachi: In the early hours of the day prominent Shia Businessman Agha Abid Shirazi s/o Ahmed Shirazi , aged 58 years , Brother of Asghar Shirazi ( trustee of Imam Bargah Bargah Aza Khana e Zehra), Owner of ZCL Construction Company was gunned down by the terrorist of Banned Outfits Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan , on his way to his office near Duty  free Shop ,Baloch Colony.

The Namaz e Janaza of the Shaheed Abid Shirazi will be performed today after Zohrain at Imam Bargah Aza Khane Zehra. and his burial will take place at Wadi e Hussain Grave Yard. The deceased has left behind a widow and Three kids , 2 sons and a Daughter .

The Government of Sindh has lost the control of the Alarming Detouriating Situation , of the high rate of Target Killing in the province

Even after the admittance of the Interior Minister of Pakistan Mr. Rehman Malik , regarding the presence of  Taliban and and Terrorist of Banned Outfits like SSP , LoJ , Jundullah , TTP and other allied terrorists groups , which are working in nexus with each other , and are more united than the government Intelligence agencies , as even with such a high rate of target Killing in Karachi , All the Federal and the Provincial Intelligence agencies have not been able to break the terrorists network and till now have not been able to have some major crack down on the terrorist ,except of Big claims of curbing the menace and giving statements on the Media of giving more powers to the security agencies which till now have not fetched any results .

The Killing of Shia community members have been always an alarm of rising terrorist activities in the country , and specially in the parts where such activities take place . As the past has told us that the Suicide attacks on Shia Mosques  in Karachi was the beginning of Killing the Muslim worshipers all around the country , which led to the attacks on Holy Places like attack on Parade Lane Mosque in Islamabad , or the double suicide attack on Data Darbar , if these networks which tries to paint there suicide attacks on the Shia community members as of sectarian nature are actually not of sectarian nature , but they are actually against Islam and the Integrity of Pakistan . As these terrorist Organisations are heavily funded by the enemies of Islam and Pakistan , which includes the names of American CIA, Israeli Mossad,Indian RAW, and Saudi Funded Taliban.

The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan should take immediate and serious action against the ongoing Killing of Shia Community members as the patience on these community members and the family members of these Martyrs is a sign of revolution , which will sweep the whole nation , and cleanse the system , with all the devilish forces working against its Integrity of Pakistan and Islam . As the recent example of revolution by the same community members in the brotherly countries of Lebanon, Iraq and Iran should be an eye opener for the Govenrment.

The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan should seriously take notice of these Killing of the Shia community members , as these people are the founders of Pakistan , and the patience of the whole community on these Killings is itself saying that a revolution is in the offing which will cleanse the whole society .

As the Injustices against the same community have led to revolutions in countries like Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran .

Gob Bless Pakistan ,and save the Innocent People of Pakistan from the devilish Plans of the Evil Froces. Ameen

Hezbollah exposes Israeli hit men

JNN 10.08.10 Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has presented evidence proving that Israel masterminded the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

At a press conference in Beirut on Monday night, the Lebanese resistance movement’s secretary general presented video materials captured by Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) as well as recorded confessions by Israeli fifth columnists substantiating that the February 14, 2005 assassination of Hariri in the capital was carried out on orders from Tel Aviv.

The Lebanese network Al-Manar aired the speech and incorporated the evidence, showing intercepted footage of Hariri’s house in the lead-up to the massive car bombing which killed him and claimed the lives of 22 other people.

Al-Manar also produced film footage showing Israeli espionage agents acknowledging their roles in the assassination.

One of the Israeli operatives, Ahmad Hussein Nasrallah, “gave false information to former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri through someone who worked with Hariri in the security area,” the Al-Manar narrator stated, and added, “He said that Hezbollah wanted to assassinate Rafik Hariri.”

Afterwards Al-Manar showed the agent admitting to the ruse.

Syria was accused of being behind the plot to assassinate Hariri, which undermined the tenuous ties between Damascus and Beirut and eventually led to the withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon.

The Hezbollah leader said Ahmed Nasrallah had sought to frighten the late Lebanese premier with the allegations as part of a larger plot to drive Syria out of Lebanon

US financial elite destroy the dollar

JNN 10.08.10 The value of the US dollar is crashing intentionally as the Federal Reserve has been printing money without tangible reserves for several decades. President Barack Obama has helped the bankers to come out ahead in every possible situation while pushing the middle class into poverty.

The following is a transcription of an interview with Economist specialist Max Keiser who talks about the US economy’s downfall and how the answer to fix it is easy.

Press : Is the dollar in a freefall or exactly what is going on?

Keiser: Well what’s going on is you have the banks in the United States committing a financial holocaust. It is probably the worst holocaust in the last 100 years. What there doing is they’re destroying real estate values, jobs, wages and pensions. And they do this by flooding the market with more debt in the form of US dollars. As your package accurately said, the US has no reserves upon which to issue dollars; therefore, by definition every dollar that is issued is debt. This debt holocaust is wiping out the middle class on purpose. Because the rich people in America want to buy those houses. Those millions of houses out there that people are still living in. They want to buy them back for maybe one penny on the dollar. This is a financial holocaust by design. The American bankers are holocaust brokers. They should be in front of a human rights court and taken up on human rights abuses and all hung.

Press : Now Max, you’re saying that it’s by design for the benefit of the rich to destroy the middle class. Wouldn’t that in effect destroy the economy as a whole?

Keiser: No, because if you’re a Goldman Sachs banker, you are completely protected from this phenomenon. Plus you’re buying gold, you’re buying silver and you’re buying tangible assets. So you are not taking any risks. It’s okay to simply wipe out the middle class. It’s a holocaust. Just like the holocaust we saw in WWII. In America we are seeing the holocaust of the middle class by a few extraordinary, greedy, corrupt bankers on Wall Street; principally Goldman Sachs, J.P Morgan and the gang.

Press : If the US uses the quantitative easing of printing money, do you think they want to get out of this economic downfall or do they want to continue to print the money to basically put the country more into this economic slump to benefit a few? Is that correct?

Keiser:Yes, it’s a domestic terrorist attack on a sub-group; in this case the middle class. If they wanted to bring about a solution, the solution is very easy: Ring fence all the corrupt banks, put all of that bad debt behind a firewall like they did during the savings and loans crises of the 1980s. The Resolution Trust Corruption ring fenced all the debt and they restarted the economy by creating some new banks. And these new banks were able to get loans and they could create inflation, which would have the effect of stimulating the economy. That is clearly the way the solution could be offered. But this is not what’s happening. So clearly we must conclude that the bankers on Wall Street our not doing the obvious solution but the complete opposite of what should be done. They are increasing the debt load by flooding the market destroying houses, jobs, wages and pensions.

Press : Let me interrupt you right there. Are you telling me that there are no independent economists or any individuals in the country, in the United States, that is talking about this; nobody going against it and getting air time? If what you’re saying is true, do you see the role of the media being involved with the bankers also? I’m just trying to get an understanding on what you’re saying.

Keiser:Well you do hear about this everyday. It’s called deflation, for they put it in economic terms. They talk about it in the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal Now in America people are saying that the problem is not inflation, the problem is deflation. Paul Krugman, famous noble prize winner, recently switched from the inflation camp to the deflation camp. You’ve got Bill Gross over there, the big co-founder, financial manager from PIMCO (Pacific Investment Management). He was talking about inflation, now he’s talking about deflation. So there is an understanding of what’s going on. What I’m saying is that Barack Obama, who’s an Uncle Tom type character in America today, has sold out the middle class. He’s trying to cozy up with the elites that are running the country and he is participating in this financial catastrophe because it benefits a few people. It’s all obvious because the solutions are obvious regarding what could be done. They could easily do something more constructive.

Press : If it had not been the dollar in the United States up until this time would it have totally collapsed? Because of course as we are saying there’s nothing really backing this dollar. It’s just basically a printing press and printing more money. So is it sort of like an economic facade taking place in the United States. Where do you see it going from here?

Keiser: Well the US dollar is the World’s reserve currency. It’s been that way since the end of WWII. It’s given America extraordinary privileges in conducting other people’s affairs in other countries who all must buy dollars. If you live in Japan and want to buy oil, you must buy dollars first. If you want to participate in the commodity market, you must buy dollars. This has given tremendous support to the dollar. It means the US government can write checks and dollars that they never have to cash. Because when someone comes to collect the money, they write them another check like this fictitious currency: the US dollar. Now what happened over the past 15 to 20 years on Wall Street is whatever little equity there was in the American economy, they’ve completely hollowed that out. So at the moment the dollar is floating on a sea of absolute trash. The Federal Reserve has trillions and trillions of dollars worth of debt that they took from Wall Street over the last few years. They claim it is worth 60 to 70 cents on the dollar or more. It’s actually worth zero. That’s what Ben Bernanke is saying when he says the Federal Reserve thinks they may have to roll over this debt, and do some more quantitative easing, which means they need to issue more of this bad debt to take care of their debt problem. Now this is obviously like turning America into the Warsaw ghetto of WWII, and we have a financial holocaust going on. Millions are at risk of dying! That’s the bottom line. And the top one percent in America does not care.

Press : I’d like to thank Max Keiser economist from Paris.

CIA physicians 'professionalize' torture

JNN 10.08.10 CIA physicians have provided guidelines to interrogators and documented the effects of the enhanced interrogation techniques, a report says.

This week, The Journal of American Medical Association published a report entitled “Roles of CIA Physicians in Enhanced Interrogation and Torture of Detainees,” which states that the CIA doctors, irrespective of medical ethical standards, performed on-site medical evaluations of detainees before and during interrogation.

The CIA Office of Medical Services said that the methods did not amount to torture, while recognizing that abusive techniques created serious medical risks.

Isolation, loud music, continuous light or darkness, extreme cold, food deprivation and waterboarding were just some of the abusive techniques to name.

In June, Physicians for Human Rights accused the Bush administration of turning the prisoners in CIA custody into research subjects.

The international non-governmental organization detailed how medical professionals conducted illegal “enhanced interrogation” techniques on the detainees and later collected data in order to study and refine the techniques

Top rabbi to be tried for sex crimes

JNN 10.08.10 Israeli police say there is sufficient evidence to press charges against Rabbi Mordechai Elon in the allegations of sexual abuse leveled against him by former students.

They said that the prominent religious Zionist rabbi should be tried for allegedly committing indecent acts by force against minors.

Elon called the matter a “terrible blood libel, a complaint without foundation,” by a “person whose stability is doubtful,” Ynetnews reported.

The investigation began in February, after Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein received several complaints alleging Elon to having committed sexual offences against young boys that came to him for advice.

Police investigators said that they have talked to a number of people and two boys have agreed to testify that the rabbi had sexually assaulted them between 2005 and 2006 when they were minors.

Elon, 50, was also the host of a popular TV program on the weekly Torah portion and worked to build understanding and cooperation between the religious and secular sectors, The Jerusalem Post reported.

'Pakistan floods worse than tsunami

JNN 10.08.10 A senior United Nations official has said the scale of Pakistan’s floods is worse than the 2004 tsunami in Asia and the Haiti earthquake.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs(OCHA)– also said nearly 14 million people have been affected by the massive floods.

“This disaster is worse than the tsunami, the 2005 Pakistan earthquake and the Haiti earthquake,” AFP quoted Maurizio Giuliano, a spokesman for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), told AFP.

This, OCHA said, while in the tsunami some five million people and in the Haiti earthquake some three million were affected.

The United Nations has estimated that Pakistan’s floods have left sixteen-hundred people dead. The worst flooding in the history of Pakistan has also affected the lives of 15 million others.

Reports say the Indus River has bursting its banks in southern province of Sindh. The floodwaters flowing from the northwest of Pakistan have already destroyed hundreds of villages.

The dire situation in the flood-ravaged Pakistan is deteriorating as landslides sweep across the hard-hit parts of the country, killing more people.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has visited flood-ravaged parts of Sindh province, appealing for more international aid.

“The government has done everything possible but it is beyond our capacity, we are facing an extremely difficult situation,” Gilani said.

Gilani added that floods have put Pakistan back ‘several years’.

Relevant authorities estimate the number of deaths to rise as further flooding is forecast and rescue teams cannot offer assistance to all.

Karachi Police Probing TTP’s Role in Raza Haider’s killing

LAHORE: Daily Times has learnt that the Karachi Police and the Intelligence Bureau is investigating the role of a top leader of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Qari Muhammad Zafar alias Ustad-e-Fidayeen, in the assassination of MQM leader Raza Haider.

It is being suspected that Zafar is the chief architect of the killing of Raza Haider, who was shot along with his guard inside a mosque in Karachi on August 2, 2010.

Zafar, who is on the US State Department’s “wanted-list”, has head money of $5 million and he is also believed to be behind the bombing at the US Consulate on March 2, 2006.

An investigator who has followed Qari Zafar told Daily Times, “So important is Qari Zafar to the TTP that they faked his death so he could work in peace – he runs Hakeemullah Mehsud’s Karachi Chapter and has hundreds of operatives working for him in the city”.

On February 24 this year, a US drone targeted a vehicle and a compound run by the Haqqanis at Dargi Mandi near North Waziristan, and claimed that Qari Zafar had been killed in the attack.

As it turned out, the TTP faked Zafar’s death and the TTP leader is also believed to be behind the Ashura procession attack and the Nishtar Park bombing in Karachi.

Zafar is a senior leader of the Fidayeen-e-Islam, an alliance between the TTP and anti-Shia Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Jaish-e-Muhammad. The group was based in South Waziristan and has moved to North Waziristan only recently.

Sources say that the LeJ is being single-handedly led by Zafar, who has become a trusted member of al Qaeda thanks to Qari Hussain Mehsud – a close aide of Hakeemullah Mesud.

“The worst part is that Zafar is a Karachiite of Pakhtun origins, so he knows the ball game,” one investigator told Daily Times.

The sources said, Zafar sent out various messages and communications that were intercepted by intelligence agencies, who subsequently informed the MQM leadership to keep a “low profile”.

One of the plans of Qari Abdullah was to explode a C4-filled truck at MQM headquarters, which gave out clues to the investigators that Qari Zafar was also involved in the Marriott Hotel bombing in Islamabad on September 20, 2008.

Apparently, Zafar had to cancel the plan to attack MQM headquarters due to unprecedented security.

It was then the TTP, along with Qari Zafar, that opted to go for “softer targets” of the MQM, which included the party’s lower and mid-cadre unit and sector members.

At the same time, due to sectarian inclination of the LeJ, Shia members of the MQM were made primary targets and the hit list had on it top MQM leaders, including MQM’s top leader Haider Abbas Rizvi.

Intelligence officials said “leaders like Dr Farooq Sattar, Faisal Sabzwari are also on the list”.

Investigators are also looking into the assassination of Raza Haider, which one of the investigators said resembled the target killing of Maj Gen (r) Faisal Alavi, a former SSG commander who was killed in Rawalpindi in November 2008.

Intelligence agencies confirmed that it was none other than Qari Zafar himself who dispatched a suicide bomber to kill Shia leader Allama Hasan Turabi at his residence, besides also ordering the recent killings of Shias in the city.

It was also revealed that Zafar had been caught by law enforcement agencies once, but he had managed to escape.

PAKISTAN FLOOD APPEAL 2010

The World Federation in partnership with The Africa Federation, the Council of European Jamaats and NASIMCO is launching the Pakistan Flood Appeal 2010. The displaced victims in Northern Pakistan are suffering and The World Federation of KSIMC is appealing to all communities around the world to donate generously. The World Federation has set a target to collect £ 80,000 for this appeal.

The World Federation is working with the Hussaini Foundation to explore the urgent provision of immediate relief and medium to long term assistance to the displaced victims. The Hussaini Foundation has already set-up its relief team and is sending out food parcels to the victims and has undertaken the following assessment in four key areas:

Baluchistan: The areas of Kachhi, Jaffarabad, Kohlu and Sibi districts are most effected hundreds’ of mud houses have been washed out, road links are badly damaged.

Gilgit: Thousands peoples were rendered homeless as torrential rains hit Gilgit. Communication with the rest of the country was put to halt due to landslides from Gilgit to Skardu, Ghizer, Astore and Islamabad.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir: An emergency has been imposed in the upper areas of AJK following high-level floods in river Neelum. Muzaffarabad is affected and many river side houses are badly damaged. The relief efforts from governments and army are underway but an urgent need for food and medicine is needed.

Sindh: The government have alerted the local authorities to gear up and evacuate peoples from the expected affected areas.

The Foundation is also undertaking a detailed assessment from its grassroots sources to evaluate the extent of damage to houses and property, but due to disruption caused by the devastation in the infrastructure and communications networks, this has been challenging. The long-term rebuilding of the affected areas could take several years because of the extent of the devastation.

The World Federation is deeply distraught and concerned about the devastation and loss of lives and strongly appeals to all donors to donate generously. Your contribution will make a great impact on the lives of all those who have lost everything, including their homes and their livelihood.

China now second largest economy

China has overtaken Japan to become the world’s second-largest economy after three decades of rapid growth, a top Chinese official has announced.

“China, in fact, is now already the world’s second-largest economy,” China’s chief currency regulator Yi Gang said in an interview with the latest issue of the China Reformmagazine, which was published on Friday.

He said that China’s economy expanded over 11 percent in the first half of 2010, compared with the same period a year earlier, and is likely to register a growth of more than 9 percent for the entire year.

“China is still a developing country, and we should be wise enough to know ourselves,” the director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said when asked whether the time was ripe for the yuan to become an international currency.

The World Bank has predicted that China is on course to surpass the United States as the world’s number one economy sometime around 2025.

A new report released earlier in March by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) said that China has overtaken Japan to become the world’s second largest industrial manufacturer.

According to UNIDO estimates, China’s share of the global total of manufacturing value (MVA,) reached 15.6 percent in 2009, slightly higher than Japan’s share of 15.4 percent, while the USA continues to maintain its rank of first place with 19 percent.

The three countries together produce half of the world’s manufacturing output.

Although China is now a bigger economy than Japan, China’s GDP per capita (nominal) stood at $3,620 in 2009. Ranked 124th by the World Bank, it was only a fraction of Japan’s GDP of $37,870, which stood as 32nd.

'Iran to put astronaut in space in 2017'

JNN 05.08.10 Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Iranian scientists are on schedule to launch the country’s first manned mission to space in seven years’ time.

“The plan is in line with an Iran space agency program to produce and place in orbit a spacecraft at an altitude of more than 35,000 kilometers,” IRNA reported the Iranian president as saying on Thursday.

President Ahmadinejad made the comments during a speech in the western Iranian city of Hamedan.

He said that the country’s growth and scientific breakthroughs in different areas are occurring despite the West’s sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian chief executive further noted that the presence of Iranians in space will be indicative of Iran’s control of space.

According to Iranian officials, the country’s Aerospace Organization kicked off a 12-year project in 2009 to send an astronaut into space by 2021.

The comprehensive plan for the project clarifies the roles which academic and research institutions must play to bring about the successful space mission by 2021.

However, the Iranian government reviewed the space mission last month and decided to launch a manned shuttle into space by 2019.

Iran Rejects Ahmadinejad Attack Reports

Speaking to Press TV, an informed source in Iran’s presidential office hasrejected as false the reports of grenade attack on Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Some foreign news sources published reports that a grenade exploded near the motorcade of President Ahmadinejad during his visit to the western city of Hamedan on Wednesday.

The source denied the reports, saying no such attack took place.
