JNN 11 Aug 2013 Damascus : The Syrian army has made Latest progress in Latakia, retaining control of two villages of Esterba and al-Balata in the outskirts of the capital of northern coastal province, Independent Media reports.

Syria’s armed forces began a massive operation in areas near Latakia early Friday and cleared some villages from foreign-backed militants.

The Syrian army is moving forward in the outskirts Latakia in a bid to retake control of the two strategic areas of Marsad al-Sheikh Nabhan and al-Nabi al-Shaya.

The armed forces also targeted foreign terrorists in Dorin village, near Slinfah town, killing scores of the militants.

According to an informed source, there are several prominent names among the killed terrorists.

Army operations continue throughout the country against terrorist groups who have launched a massive bloodshed against the Syrian people and the government for more than two years.

Out skirts and Suburbs of Damascus

The Syrian army has moved forward in several key areas including outskirts of capital city of Damascus to hunt and uproot foreign-backed militants.

According to independent Media , Syria’s armed forces intensified clashes with terrorists in al-Rastan, al-Houla and Teblisa suburbs of Homs. Similar clashes were also reported in Reef Idlib and Aleppo.

A Syrian army officer also told al-Alam that the army concentrates on Jisr al-Kabas, near Rif Dimashq to hunt and kill the armed terrorists.

The clashes between Syrian armed forces and foreign-backed militants have been escalated in several areas and the army strives to materialize its promise to civilians in order to clear more areas from the armed terrorists.

The army has made efforts to secure the capital and its links to the western coast while the militants have overrun much of the north and east.

The Syrian army often finds foreign nationals among militants killed or arrested in the operations.

Saudi Osama Look Alike Terrorist Commander Killed

A Saudi al-Qaeda commander, responsible for beheading many civilians and Syrian soldiers, has been killed in Syria’s port city of Latakia.

Abu Malik al-Shahri, a terrorist affiliated with al-Qaeda’s Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, has reportedly been killed during clashes at the northern areas of Latakia.

Because of his resemblance to al-Qaeda’s late leader, Osama Bin Laden, al-Shahri was known as ‘Syria’s Bin Laden’.

Al-Shahri had been involved in many al-Qaeda operations in Afghanistan and Iraq and served as a commander for the terrorist group in Fallujah during the Iraq war.

According to media reports, al-Shahri was responsible for killing and beheading many Syrian soldiers and civilians during the foreign-backed war in Syria.

Syria has been suffering from a massive multinational insurgency since 2011, when pro-reform protests turned to an all-out war by the intervention of Western and some regional countries.

The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri terrorists.

Washington has remained indifferent to international warnings about supporting the insurgency which has been marked with ugly faces of extremism and has not cut its military aids to the anti-Syria armed groups

More than 100,000 people have already been Killed in the foreign-hatched civil war and millions have been displaced.
