Ali Larijani Rejects US allegations.

JNN Oct.14th 2011 Iran’s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has dubbed the US allegations that Iran was involved in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington as a ‘ridiculous lie’.

JNN Oct.14th 2011“The US has one by one lost its allies during the revolutions in the region (Middle East), and is resorting to such scenarios and seditious [strategies] to divert attention from its failures…,” Larijani said in a meeting with Sudan’s presidential adviser Mustafa Osman Ismail in Tehran on Thursday, IRNA reported.

He further stressed that all of the developments in the Middle East should result in the “true unity of the Muslim world.”

On Tuesday, the US Justice Department accused Iran of involvement in a plot to assassinate Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Washington Adel Al-Jubeir with help from a suspected member of a Mexican drug cartel.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called upon other nations on Wednesday to join the US in “condemning this threat to international peace and security.”

The latest accusations come as the United States and its staunch ally, Israel, have devised numerous anti-Iran plots over the past years, including the targeted assassination of Iranian scientists.

The Sudanese official said Khartoum regards Iran as its true and powerful ally and believes that stability and peace in the region is only achieved through the active and effective role of Iran.
