Muftis should have adequate knowledge : Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri


JNN 14 Feb 2011 : “Muftis and jurisprudents should have adequate knowledge about different ideas and credos,” head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri.

“Fatwa is the result of Jurisprudence and illustrate different Islamic ideas and credos in different realms of life,” the senior cleric underlined.

The Grand Ayatollah went on, “This (issuing Fatwa) is an important  place, and only those of jurisprudents who have some special features can issue Fatwa.”

“The other knowledgeable people can just transfer these fatwas,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri mentioned and added,” even these people should be fully cognizant in this realm.”

“If we consider the condition for issuing Fatwa, the jurisprudents should have adequate knowledge in this realm. He also should have some advisors and consider all the consequence of issuing fatwa,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri expressed.
