JNN 05 Feb 2011 Karachi : Allama Altaf Hussain Al-Hussaini, Vice President of an Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Sindh chapter, succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Karachi on Friday.

On Thursday, 3rd February, 2011, at 11:00P.M  Wahabi terrorists targetted him on his way near Hyderabad Kotri Bridge and fired several rounds ,due to which he was critically injured in Kotri taluka of Jamshoro district.

Immediately after the assault, he was shifted to Civil Hospital Hyderabad and later taken to a private hospital in Karachi in a very critical condition in the early hours of Friday.

According to doctors at the Civil Hospital, the deceased had received gunshots on his forehead and body.

By Friday afternoon, around 3:15 pm doctors pronounced Allama Altaf Al-Hussaini dead.

He embraced martyrdom  at 3:30 P.M afternoon.

The 45-year-old deceased, hailing from Kotri area, remained at important party positions like vice president Muttahida Majlis- e-Amal Sindh and former president Shia Ulema Council Sindh during his political career. The deceased is survived by a widow, 5 sons and 4 daughters.

His funeral prayer was offerd at Kotri,Hyderabad on Saturday.

Shops were Closed in the District Kotri and Protest Rallies were also taken against the Target Killing of Allama Altaf Hussain Al Hussaini
