Iran arrests top terrorist Jundallah leader Rigi

Iran has arrested top Notritious Wahabi (Takfiri) militant Jundallah leader Abdolmalek Rigi, was captured in an operation on Tuesday.

The Takfiri terrorist was the mastermind behind several deadly bombings and killings in Iran.

Rigi, who was Iran’s most wanted fugitive and heads the rebel Jundallah a US backed terrorist group, was arrested “inside Iran” in the eastern part of the country, the state-owned Arabic news channel Alalam reported.

The Iranian intelligence ministry was cited as saying he was arrested along with two members of his group, in a report by local news agency.

The agency also quoted Mohammad Marziah, prosecutor of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan province, as saying the militant was arrested in an “ambush and is currently held by intelligence forces.”

However, Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar told reporters that Rigi was arrested outside the country as he was preparing for a new act of sabotage.

The minister added that he was consequently transferred to Iran.

Zahedan Prosecutor Mohammad Marzieh also told Fars news agency that the notorious terrorist was arrested early Tuesday in a pre-planned operation.

“Rigi’s arrest was eventually made through a series of security measures taken for a long period of time. He is now in Iran and will be handed to security and judicial officials,” he said.

The Jundallah group has claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks in Iran. The group has carried out mass murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, acts of sabotage and bombings. They have targeted Mosques, Imam Bargah,s civilians and government officials, as well as all ranks of Iran’s military.

In their latest attack, which occurred on October 18, more than 40 Iranians — among them 15 members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), including top commanders, in addition to several tribal elders — lost their lives when Jundallah terrorists carried out an operation in the border region of Pishin, located in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan.

Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh revealed in another report in July 2008 that US Congressional leaders had secretly agreed to former President George W. Bush’s USD 400 million funding request, which gave the US a free hand in arming and funding terrorist groups such as Jundallah militants.

The terrorist organization denies having any link to Washington but Rigi’s brother, arrested earlier and now in Iran’s custody, confirmed in an interview with Press TV that the Jundallah leader had, in fact, established links with the US administration.

Abdolhamid revealed that a go-between, named Amanollh-Khan Rigi, put the terrorist group in connect with the US administration.

“His name is Amanollah-Khan Rigi. He is my father’s cousin. He was a royalist during the Shah’s regime,” Abdulhamid told Press TV.

“After the [1979] Revolution in Iran, he left Iran via neighbouring country and sought asylum in the United States.”

Abdulhamid said the Americans had asked Amanollah-Khan to forge a link between the US and Jundallah. “The Americans asked him [Amanollah-Khan] to introduce them to [Abdolmalek] Rigi and that’s how link was established.”

8th Rabiul Awal, Martyrdom of Imam Hassan Askari (AS)

The Life of Our Beloved Imam Hasan Askari (AS)

Born in Madina on the 10th of Rabuil Akhar 232 Hijri ( 6.12.846 AD) martyred in Samarrah Iraq on 8th of Rabiul Awwal 260 Hijri (4.1.874) aged 28 years. Period of Imamate 6 years.

Samarra (Surre Mun Ra’) was a garrison town about 60 miles north of Baghdad. River Euphrates flows in the middle of the town, and because of the surrounding hills a cool breeze keeps the area cooler in comparison to Baghdad. The word ‘Asker’ in arabic is used for army. Our 11th Imam’s title became known as Askari, the one who lived all his life in a garrison town.

There is another story related with this name by many historians. Once the Caliph called him in his palace and ordered his army to march past before him. The Caliph wanted to boast or to impress the Imam of his power or to dissuade the Imam from any thoughts of revolution against the Abbasid Caliphate. When the march past was over, Imam asked the Caliph to gaze between two of his fingers. What the Caliph saw was a huge army of lancers and swords men marching past, a much bigger crowd than the Caliphs army. He was astonished at this miracle and named him Askari, i.e. the man with a big army.

Imam’s Childhood and Adulthood:

Imam Hasan al Askari’s (AS) life from childhood to adulthood was spent in this house where his father Imam Ali Naqi (AS) was to remain under house arrest. But despite this close guard on the Imam, he conducted his duties as Imam from inside the house. He taught people Qur’an and instructed his followers the true teachings of Islam as taught by the Prophet of Islam and his AhlulBayt. In fact Imam Hasan al-Askari wrote a complete Tafseer of the Qur’an which was mentioned by many scholars, historians and exegetes, including Kulaini and Saduq.

Imam’s life in Samarrah was not in peace even under house arrest. From time to time he was taken to Baghdad, questioned and put in prison there. On one such occasion, the Imam was taken by the Turkish guards to Baghdad where he was kept in prison during the short reign of the Caliph al-Muktadi and al-Mu’tamid afterwards.

His Miracle of Rain:

While he was a prisoner in Baghdad there was a severe draught. Rain had not fallen for some time and crops were drying up. People were facing a famine. They did not know what to do. A Christian priest came to the rescue. He lifted his hands in prayer and rain fell. The Caliph became concerned lest for this reason people would forsake Islam and become Christians. When the Imam was consulted, he said that when people assembled to see the so called miracle performed by the Christian priest, he would remove their doubts. The Imam was allowed to leave the prison to go where the crowd assembled to see the miracle performed by the priest. Imam stood there with the crowd and when the priest raised his hands for pray and rain began to fall, Imam told one of his companions to seize the hands of the priest and bring the piece of bone hidden in his hands. When this bone was brought before the Imam, he said that it was the bone of a Prophet of God. It was the effect of this holy bone when lifted in prayers to God that brought God”s mercy and brought rain to the land. This way the Imam lifted the doubts from the minds of the people. After this the Imam himself spread his prayer mat and performed two Rak’ats of prayers then lifted his bare hands to God for rain to come to the land and wipe out the draught. The Imam’s prayers were heard by the Almighty and rain fell so much that the land became fertile again and crops began to grow. (Kulaini, Akhbarus Alam)In recognition of this service the Imam was allowed to leave the prison in Baghdad and live in his house in Samarrah, still under house arrest. He was still not allowed to go to Madina.

A Detailed Account of The Imam’s Marriage

A detailed account of the marriage of Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) was told by Majlisi in Biharul Anwar. His father Imam Ali Naqi (AS) entrusted this important matter to his friend Bashir ibn Sulaiman. First the Imam wrote a letter in the script of ‘Rum’ and sealed it with his own noble seal. He placed the letter in a red purse, with 220 Dinars and then said to his friend, “Take this letter and go to Baghdad. Go to the ferry at the River Tigris when the boats from Syria are being unloaded. Look out for the ship owner whose name is Amr. Observe when he exhibits a slave girl who would be wearing two silk garments and a veil to protect her from being seen or handled by the buyers. You will hear her call out in the language of ‘Rum’, ‘even if you have the wealth and glory of Solomon the son of David, I can never have affection for you, so take care lest you waste your money in purchasing me.’ And if a buyer approaches her, she will say, ‘Cursed be the man who unveils my eyebrow’ Her owner will then protest, ‘But what recourse have I, I am compelled to sell you? You will then hear the slave answer, ‘Why this haste, let me choose my purchaser, that my heart may accept him in confidence and gratitude.’

“You are to go then O Bashir, and tell the trader Amr that you have a letter written in the script of Rum by a certain nobleman, and that this letter shows his kindness, appreciation and liberality. You must give this letter to the slave girl to read, that she may agree to be bought by the man who has passed this letter to you.

Bashir reported later, “When I carried out these instructions and the girl received the letter, she began to cry as she read the letter. Then she said to Amr, “Sell me to the writer of this letter, for if you refuse I would surely be very unhappy and you will never be able to sell me to anyone else.” I therefore talked over the price with Amr, until we agreed on the 220 Dinars my master had given me. When I paid the money, and received the girl. She came with me without protest. In fact she was smiling and looking very pleased. In her excitement she took the letter from the Imam Ali Naqi (AS) from her pocket and kissed it, put it on her eyes and then put it back into her pocket. I told her I was amazed that she should act this way when as yet she did not know the writer. She answered, “May the descendant of the Prophet dispel your doubts.” Afterwards she gave me the following account of herself.

“I am a princess, the granddaughter of the Emperor of Rum. My mother was a descendant of the disciple Simon, the vicegerent of Jesus. My grandfather the Emperor was anxious to marry me to his nephew. I was 15 years old. At his castle he gathered a great assembly, including 300 monks and hermits, 700 of the nobility and 4000 of the officials of the army. I had a special throne made for me where I sat with the man I was about to wed. Christian priests were ready to pay us honour. They opened the Injil (Bible), and immediately all the images around us fell to the ground and broke. My cousin also fell down on the ground and fainted. All the great officials were overcome with fear and said,” O’ king, preserve us from witnessing this ill-fated day, for this sort of thing is a proof of the decline and disappearance of the Christian religion as we know it.” At this my grandfather was very angry and he ordered that all images should be brought back and put in their places. Once again they all fell down and a great storm blew the lights all around. At this second occurrence people were frightened and left the assembly hall. My grandfather fell himself and the whole occasion was cancelled for some other day.

One night after this I saw a dream, in which Jesus appeared with his disciples at the palace where the throne was erected. Their they built a pulpit of light, and behold, Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his Wasi Ali (AS) and all his exalted descendants came into the palace. Jesus went forward to embrace Muhammad (SA) who said, O’ Spirit of God, I have come to seek the daughter of your Wasi Simon for my son Hasan al-Askari.” Jesus (AS) looked to Simon who was with him and said, “Nobility and glory has come to you in this chance to unite mercy with that of the family of Muhammad (SA).” To this Simon assented and all of them assented to the pulpit of Light while Muhammad (SA) conducted the wedding service. After the dream, when I woke up I was afraid and dared not repeat the story to my father or my brothers for fear that they would kill me. While I kept the secret, love of Hasan al-Askari found its place in my heart. As a result of not eating I grew thin and became ill. All possible treatment was available for me but without success. In the end my father told me, “O’ you, who have seen a light, tell me what is wrong with me. The doors of pleasure are closed for me. A voice replied, “if you set some of your prisoners free, it is possible that Jesus and his mother may help you.” I told my father of this dream and requested that some of the prisoners should be set free. My father granted my request, and after that I took food and felt better. A few days passed and I had another vision, when Fatima the daughter of the Prophet and Mariam, the mother of Jesus came to me and explained that Hasan al-Askari could not come to me unless I should become a Muslim and declare, that there no God but One God and Muhammad is the last apostle of God. This I accepted and after that I saw Hasan al-Askari in my vision.”

But how did you come to fall among the prisoners? asked Bashir. She replied, “Hasan al-Askari told me that my father was planning to send an army against the Muslims and that I should disguise myself and some of my women servants and arrange to go along with the army. I did this and before long some of the Muslim army guards captured us, and now you see how it all turned out.”

Bashir related that when they reached Samarrah he went to the Imam Ali Naqi (AS) who received the party gladly. The Imam asked the girl if he should give her Ten Thousand Dinars or a bit of good news. When she chose the latter, he informed her that she was to be given to his son Hasan al-Askari as she has seen in her dreams and that she was to be the mother of the one who was to cause justice to reign upon the earth. She was then committed to Ali Naqi’s sister Hakima who was to look after her.

Such is the account of the wedding of Hasan al-Askari to Nargis Khatoon as Majlisi recorded it in such detail in Bihar-al-Anwar.(The same account was found in Shaikh Tusi’s book ) A few days later the wedding took place between Imam Hasan al-Askari and Nargis Khatoon, the grand daughter of the Emperor of Rum.

Imam’s Teachings and Followers:

Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) lived a short life, only Twenty Eight years and in this short life he had to endure great sufferings by the hands of the Abbasid caliphs. But in spite of all that suffering and confinement under house arrest in Samarrah, many students of Islam benefited from his God gifted knowledge and later became scholars in their fields. He discussed with agnostics of that age many times about the existence of God and the reasons for the necessity of the Prophets and Imams and many atheists changed their minds and converted to Islam. One of those was Ishaq al-kindi who was writing a book about contradictions in Qur’an. Imam invited some of his students and taught them lessons from the Qur’an. These students of Al-kindi confronted their teacher and rejected his arguments about the contradictions in the Holy Book. Al-Kindi realised that these arguments could not have come from the brains of these young students. He asked them about the secret of their extensive knowledge of the Qur’an. In the end they confessed that Imam Hasan al-Askari taught them. Kindi himself became the disciple of our Imam, burnt his own writings on atheism and later wrote many treatises on Islam.

Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) also dictated many Traditions of the Holy Prophet and recorded many explanations of the verses of the Holy Qur’an.

One of the famous traditions people learnt from Imam Hasan al-Askari was, “The wine drinker is like an idolater.” Ibn al Jawzi in his book “Tehrim al Khamr” mentioned this tradition from the Imam from the most reliable narrators of Hadith.

Historians have noted many names of the Imam’s students who became scholars of their time.

One of the famous students of the Imam was Abu Ali al-Hasan ibn Khalid who prepared a commentary of the Holy Qur’an which should be considered the work of the Imam himself. The Imam used to dictate its contents to Abu Ali who went on writing the commentary. Scholars indicated that the book consisted of 1920 pages.

Imam’s Martyrdom:

In spite of the fact that the Imam had never given any cause for concern to the Caliphs of his time, their guilt in this matter was so great that they did not leave these pious personalities in peace. If they had no fear of their throne they were afraid of the excellence and knowledge of the Imams. In the case of Imam Hasan al-Askari, the same type of jealousy led to the poisoning of the Imam to end this life of a saint whose only activity was to teach Qur’an as the Prophet and his AhlulBayt taught before him. During the rule of Al-Mu’tamid poison was given to the Imam mixed in some fruit and he died on 8th Rabi-al-Awwal 260 Hijri. He left only one son, whose name was Muhammad who was only five years old when his father died.

The Caliph Al- Mu’tamid himself attended the funeral prayer. When they all lined up and were ready to commence the prayers, Imam Hasan al-Askari’s brother Jafar stood in front of the people to lead the prayer. Before he could commence the prayer, a five year old boy came out of the house, went near his uncle. Shook his mantle and told him, “set aside uncle, only an Imam can lead the funeral prayer of an Imam”. His uncle Jafar stepped aside and this five year old boy lead the prayers. Immediately after the end of the prayer he went inside his house and was not seen by his pursuers, lead by the caliph Mu’tamid himself.

Our Eleventh Imam was buried in the same house where he had died, by the side of his father Imam Ali Naqi (AS). By the passage of time, the place was transformed into a great mausoleum and pilgrims from all over the Islamic lands came to pay their homage to the two Imams of AhlulBayt who were buried there

Saudi authorities launch crackdown against Shia Citizens

Saudi authorities launched a crackdown on Shia Muslim Citizens of Saudi Arabia for commemoration of anniversary of martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) on 10th of Muharram, first month of Islamic Calendar.

According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Dozens of youths were arrested for observance of the Holy Day of Ashura in Al-Ahsa area. Shia Muslims across the world mourn the Karbala Tragedy in which Imam Hussain (AS), his family members and companions were brutally assassinated by the army of Umayyad caliph Yazid.

Sources informed the Shiite News that Saudi cops arrested 25 innocent Shia citizens on the pretext that they hoisted religious and cultural banners on Ashura. The banners were inscribed with the excerpts from the sayings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), Prophet of Islam the last apostle of God Almighty who said: “Hussain (AS) is from me and I am from Hussain (AS).”

Some banners were also inscribed with the saying of Imam Hussain (AS) who categorically rejected humiliation for him and his followers imposed by anybody. Hussain (AS), the third infallible Imam of Shia Islam was maternal grandson of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW), the last apostle of God.

They hoisted the banners in the streets of the coastal village during the rituals of Ashura 1431 A.H. late in December 2009.

A number of people were released in phases but youths were still detained in a general prison. Most of the detained youths are students of schools and colleges. A teacher was also put behind the bars.

The authorities had also arrested Shia Muslims from their houses, educational institutions and workplaces.

Al-Ahsa’s Shia Muslims experienced worst sort of the victimization for more than last five-years under Governor Badr-bin-Jalovey. There was no end to arrests and detentions for last 5 years.

Alongside continued arrests of clerics and dignitaries, dozens of Shiite mosques and religious schools were forced to shutdown in the region.

Those arrested were:  Jaber Ali Issa (22) Student,  Hussain Yousuf Nasser(23) Student, Mohamed Moussa Essa (19) Student, Jassim Mohammed Hassan Ali (19) Student, Abdullah Ahmed Mohamed Al-Ali (22) Student, Muntazir Essa (19) Student, Hani Hashim Hassan (21) Student, Hussain Badr al-Harbi Ali (19) Student, Mohammed Ali Haider (26) Government employee, Jasim Al-Saeed Hassan (21) Student, Bassam Ali (19) Student,

Reza Abdullah (27) employee,  Hashim Nasser Mohammed Ali (32) Teacher, Hassan Nasser Mohammed Ali (39) employee, Hussain Nasser Mohammed Ali (25) Truck driver, Mohammed Nasser Ali (23)  Student,  Ali Nasser Mohammed Ali (25) tudent,  Essa Ali Abdullah Jafar (22) Officer, Jafar Ibrahim Hussain Hashim (23) Student,  Murtaza Hussain Essa Al-Harbi (19) tudent,

Mustafa Ahmed (23) Student, Khaliq Hussain (24) Student, Hassan Ali Hussein Saleh, (20) Student,  Saeed Abdul Mohsin Al-Hassan (24) Student, Saleh Hashim Hassan (20) Student,It is also relevant to add here that like Shia Muslims, Sunni Muslims also believe that Imam Hussain (AS) and his elder brother Imam Hassan (AS) are leaders of all the males in Allah (God)’s Paradise because Prophet of Islam had said so. Imam Hassan (AS), Imam Hussain (AS), their parents Imam Ali (AS) and Hazrat Fatima, grandfather Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) and his first wife mother of Islamic faithful Khadija tul Kubra are symbols of unity between Sunni and Shia Muslims.

Wahhabis don’t commemorate the celebrations on birth anniversaries and they don’t mourn the death anniversaries of these sacred and noble leading figures of Islam. However, Sunnis and Shias celebrate the birth anniversaries and mourn the death anniversaries according to their respective traditions.

Iran launches advanced Jamaran destroyer

Iran’s Navy on Friday took the delivery of the first indigenously designed and developed guided missile destroyer Jamaran in the presence of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The Mowdge Class vessel has a displacement of around 1,420 tonnes and is equipped with modern radars and electronic warfare capabilities.

Jamaran, a multi-mission destroyer, can carry 120-140 personnel on board and is armed with a variety of anti-ship and surface-to-air missiles.

It has a top speed of up to 30 knots and has a helipad. It also features highly advanced anti-aircraft, anti-surface and anti-subsurface systems.

The vessel has also been equipped with torpedoes and modern naval cannons. The destroyer’s launch marks a major technological leap for Iran’s naval industries.

Taliban terrorists killed 5 shia youths at Parachinar

Taliban terrorists, under the influence of extremist Wahhabism’s ideology of Al-Qaeda, shot dead 5 Shia youths and injured scores of others near Parachinar Kurram Agency, according to Shiite News reports on Saturday.
The terrorists armed with heavy weapons targeted Shia youths in Dilasa hamlet of Baghdi area where they had established a safe heaven for a long time. Baghdi area is some 15 kilometres from Parachinar.
The Kurram Agency, a federally administered tribal area (FATA) of Pakistan makes borders with Afghanistan.
Soon after Pakistani Taliban killed Shia youths in target shootings, Afghan Taliban launched heavy missile attacks on Shia populace from numerous directions. The missile attacks seemed to be an organised campaign against Shia Muslims.
However, in a just reaction to the ferocious attacks, Shia Muslims also countered terrorist attacks. Reports had it that clashes between the Taliban terrorists and them had started on Friday and continued intermittently on Saturday.
Local analysts were of the views that foreign occupation forces (U.S.-led ISAF and NATO forces) wanted lawlessness in the area because Taliban and Al-Qaeda terrorists give justification for their long stay in Afghanistan and its bordering areas with Pakistan.
An official of a ruling party of Pakistan had earlier disclosed that Taliban and Al-Qaeda terrorists could have been blocked from reaching near Kurram Agency but they were always allowed to flee towards Kurram Agency. He said that military operation should target the terrorists before they could hit civilians.
“Why routes leading to Kurram are not cleared? Why terrorists are allowed to freely move and encircle the Kurram Agency,” he asked.
Interestingly, routes leading from Kurram Agency to Afghanistan are relatively more secure for travelling as compared to the routes leading to Pakistani territories.
Taliban terrorists had put Kurram Agency under siege in March/April 2007 and since then it remained under siege. On Shia Muslims protest, government had formulated a policy for protection of the convoys going to Parachinar but security forces also failed to protect the convoys.
A vast majority of Pakistanis call war on terrorism and insurgency in Afghanistan and Pakistan a “fixed match” between the U.S.-led allies and Taliban-AlQaeda terrorists. Neither the 40-plus U.S.-led forces defeat terrorists’ altogether since their war started in late 2001 and now the Taliban-AlQaeda cause colossal losses to their combatant enemies. Non-combatant persons, children, women and elderly males are killed in hundreds and thousands. But, neither terrorists nor the foreign forces have so far been killed in dozens, let alone hundreds.

He recalled that police had also arrested him on 3rd March 2007 from his home but showed his arrest in a fake police encounter.

They said that Hammad was illegal arrested by the CID Police officials from the premises of court, when he went there for a hearing of his case.

Sheikh Qassem: Resistance Won’t Be Shaken by Criticism

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said that “the Resistance will not be affected by statements of critics because it represents a majority of the Lebanese,” according to a statement issued by Hezbollah on Friday.

According to  Shiite News Correspondent,Numerous Lebanese political figures criticized Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech on Tuesday during leader martyrs’ commemoration. Sheikh Qassem praised the role of the Resistance, saying it achieved many victories and achievements.

Sheikh Qassem vowed to those who want to know the future of Hezbollah’s resistance “to make it stronger and stronger until Israel fails to just think of attacking Lebanon.”

The Resistance will strengthen until the Israeli enemy no longer contemplates attacking Lebanon, he added. According to Sheikh Qassem, a balanced national defense strategy requires calm dialogue sessions instead of critical statements to the media. “If some want to discuss the defensive strategy through media outlets, we tell them that we will hear their screaming without answering them.”

“A reasonable defensive strategy requires calm sessions rather than ‘acrobatic’ media statements,” he added.

He warned that European passport holders could pose a danger to Lebanon, referring to the 11 Israeli agents—six of them holding British passports, three Irish, one French, and one German—believed by the Dubai police to have assassinated top Hamas official Mahmoud al-Mabhouh. Special measures to protect the Lebanese people should be taken as long as Israelis could sneak in Lebanon by using European passports, his eminence said.

“If Israel strikes Dahiyeh, we will strike Tel Aviv,” Nasrallah said as the resistance movement held a ceremony to mark the death of Imad Mughniyeh, who was assassinated in car bombing by Israeli agents in Damascus on February 12, 2008.

Nasrallah stressed that the resistance movement did not seek war but was ready to face any aggressions.

“It is untrue that we are giving Israel an excuse to launch an aggression on Lebanon. Israel does not need an excuse, and if it needs an excuse it creates one,” he explained.

However, the resistance leader added Israel was incapable of launching a new war.

Israeli suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Hezbollah guerrillas in the summer 2006. It lost 119 soldiers when its army invaded Lebanon’s territory.

“For Israel to launch a war, it requires a guaranteed victory rather than a potential one … Israel cannot afford another blow because it would mark the beginning of its end,” he said, according the Daily Star newspaper.

Nasrallah described the recent Israeli threats against Lebanon and Syria as a “psychological warfare” to frighten the Lebanese people.

Israel terrified of Lebanese resistance:Nejad,Nasarallah

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said the Zionist regime of Israel is so terrified of the Lebanese resistance and people.

The Iranian president made the remark in a phone conversation with the Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, ISNA reported on Thursday.

President Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah also discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region. He further praised Nasrallah’s latest stance on the Israeli threats.

“The Zionists are really terrified of the resistance and people in Lebanon and the region,” President Ahmadinejad emphasized. “But they (the Israelis) are looking for opportunities to make up for their past defeats in Gaza and Lebanon as they feel their credibility and existence are in jeopardy.”

However, the president insisted, “They don’t dare to do anything as they are afraid of the consequences.”

The Iranian official further underlined the need for maintaining readiness against any potential Israeli threats adding, “If the Zionist regime want to repeat the same mistakes they previously made, they must be gotten rid of once and for all, so that the region will be saved from their nuisance for ever.”

According to Shiite News Correspondent President Ahmadinejad then reiterated that to this end, the Iranian nation will remain along the side of the Lebanese and other regional nations.

The Hezbollah Secretary General, for his part, said that Lebanon and the resistance movement are in favorable conditions.

“We are not afraid of the Israeli threats and the Israeli threats will not work,” Nasrallah said. “Strategically, Israel is not in a situation to wage a new war, but is after a psychological warfare with its threats… and of course, either way they will not get anywhere.”

Ayatollah Syed Ali Al- Sistani Urges Big Poll Turnout

Iraq’s Grand Ayatollah Syed Ali Husseini al-Sistani called on voters on Wednesday to turn out massively for next month’s general election but did not endorse any particular party.

Syed Al-Sistani’s support is seen as key to boosting turnout for the March 7 parliamentary election. According to the Shiite News Correspondent, “Ayatollah Sistani sees it as critical that all people who care about the future of the country and rebuilding it… participate in the election,” a statement from his office said.

“Turning away from participation, for whatever reason, will give them a chance to achieve their illegitimate goals,” it said, without specifying who Sistani meant by “them”.

The statement went on to say that the reverd Shia cleric Syed Ali al-Sistani did not support any particular party in the election, and called on electors to “vote for the best groups, those who care about the interests of Iraq.”

“Vote for the list that is able to achieve the ambitions of the people, such as stability and improvement, and vote for the honest and efficient candidate who respects the traditions and values of the Iraqi people.”

Ayatullah Khamenei: Iran won’t let arrogant powers ruin world

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, says the Iranian nation will stand up to arrogant powers who are dominating the world.

Addressing a group of visitors from the northwestern city of Tabriz on Wednesday, the Leader said, “Iran will not allow a few countries to ruin the future of the world.”

Ayatollah Khamenei further pointed out that Western countries spread lies about the Iranian nuclear energy program and the state of democracy and human rights in Iran because Tehran is determined to maintain its rights.

Meanwhile, the Leader slammed US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s comments during her recent tour of the Persian Gulf region, saying that “yet again the Americans have sent their agent (Clinton) like a traveler to the Persian Gulf to repeat the same lies about Iran.”

“However, nobody will believe their words anymore, as the United States has never cared about the interests of regional nations,” the Leader said, adding that “quite to the contrary, [Washington] has trampled on the rights of the regional countries.”

Ayatollah Khamenei said that the US has turned the Persian Gulf into an arsenal, has attacked Iraq and Afghanistan and now is interfering in Pakistan.

“All the nations and most of the governments in the region are aware that the Islamic Republic supports peace, brotherhood, and dignity of the regional and all the Islamic countries [in the world],” the Leader underlined.

Ayatollah Khamenei also pointed to the mass rallies marking the 31st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

“The enemies predicted that the rallies would plunge Iran into a civil war,” the Leader noted. “But the massive turnout of the Iranian nation was tantamount to a punch in the mount of Iran’s enemies.”

Millions of Iranians took to the streets across the country on Thursday to celebrate the 1979 Revolution, which overthrew the US-backed Pahlavi monarchy

Belarus FM Meets President Ahmadinejad

Iranian President, Dr Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Sergei Martinov said in Tehran on Wednesday that America’s domination is fading away, rather like a piece of melting snow.

President Ahmadinejad said America’s policies are failing and facing defeat, one after another, and assured of new political equations in the near future.

President Ahmadinejad termed Iran-Belarus relations as friendly and stable, saying expansion of bilateral cooperation will benefit both nations as well as the wider region, especially given the political and economic conditions in the world today.

The Foreign Minister of Belarus, Sergei Martinov, for his part, described Iran as an important and influential country in the region and called for due efforts to broaden and deepen relations between Tehran and Minsk.

Supreme Leader Thanks Iranian Nation for Impressive Bahman 22 Rallies

Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution issued a message praising the Iranian nation for their massive presence in the Bahman 22nd rallies. The following is an excerpt of the message:

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Dear honorable Iranian nation,

I wholeheartedly thank God who manifested His hand of power through your faith, determination, and insight and proved the power and dynamism of the Islamic Republic – which is rooted in the faith and confidence of this ancient nation – to its enemies more than ever before on the 31st anniversary of the Revolution.

Is thirty years of trial and error not enough to awaken the arrogant and bullying powers and prove to them the futility of their efforts to dominate Islamic Iran?

Is the presence of millions of enthusiastic and insightful people in the ceremonies marking the 31st anniversary of the Revolution not enough to awaken the ill-wishers and deceived people inside the country who sometimes hypocritically claim to support the people? Is this not enough to show them the wish and path of the nation which is the path of pure Islam and our magnanimous Imam?

The friends and enemies of the Iranian nation should know that this nation has found its path and will remove all obstacles on its way to reach the peaks of success and prosperity by relying on God and their God-given power. May God bestow His assistance and success on this nation, and I hope this nation will benefit from the prayers of the Imam of the Age (may our souls be sacrificed for him).

Hassan Nasrallah: Nothing Will Be safe In Israel From Our Rockets If You Bomb Us

In commemoration of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hezbollah leaders Sheikh Ragheb Harb, Syed Abbas Moussawi and Hajj Imad Moghniyyeh (Hezbollah top military commander), Hezbollah held a ceremony on Tuesday to mark the day of “loyalty to the Martyrs” and remember the sacrifices of the Resistance martyrs and heroes.

The ceremony, held at the Syed-Ul-Shouhadaa(AS)’ complex in Beirut’s southern suburb, was attended by State Minister Adnan Syed Hussein representing President Michel Suleman and MP Ali Hasan Khalil representing Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri as well as a representative of the Army Commander General Jean Qahwaji and various political and national forces.

Hezbollah Secretary General Syed Hasan Nasrallah delivered a speech and paid tribute to the martyrs and their families.
“I condole the Muslim nation for the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed’s (pbuh) death. I would like to condole the families of the crashed plane (Ethiopian plane that crashed last month off Lebanon’s coast) who are still waiting for the bodies of their loved ones to be recovered. On the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, I offer my condolences to his respected family and all our brothers in the Future Movement.”

Syed Nasrallah determined the main characteristics of the leaders of the resistance, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
“Modesty, love, sensibility are among other features, but I would like to emphasize the youth factor. Those leaders, when they were young, had sufficient awareness regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict, Palestine, and the Aqsa.”

The Hezbollah chief underlined the responsibility of preserving the will of the leaders, that is to preserve their achievements “which is the fruit of their lives, the fruit of their sacrifices. The accomplishment they left us with is the resistance.”

“This puts us in front of several questions and options. In Lebanon, we always go back to square one whenever there are threats and we do not make use of experiences…We always go back to the same questions; the same questions of 1982, before it, and after it. Questions like: Cane the US protect Lebanon? Can it really? Obama failed to stop settlement building. Can international resolutions and the international community protect Lebanon? Can this community that only respects the strong protect Lebanon by being neutral? Can we persuade Israel through the international community to return the Shebaa Farms and the Palestinian refugees? We’ve read in today’s newspapers that (Avigdor) Lieberman says: Those who think that any settlement can make us return a meter of soil is mistaken. His deputy says: The return of Palestinian refugees is a red line. I find it very weird, brothers and sisters, that in Lebanon we even discuss self-evident truths…Everything indicates that in facing invaders and occupiers, survival is for the fittest. There is no place for the weak in these equations and principles. Only the strong can fulfill their goals. Can Lebanon be strong? Yes. We have proven that Lebanon was strong and today Lebanon is much stronger than ever. Lebanon is strong by means of the wonderful formula with which we face the many challenges: The army, the people, and the resistance; a formula adopted by the Lebanese government.”

Syed Nasrallah said that the positions of the President, the House Speaker, the Prime Minister, and the Army leadership clearly express national unity in the face of Israeli threats to Lebanon. “We are ready to discuss the notion of giving Israel pretexts to attack Lebanon but what’s more serious is what we’ve been hearing lately in Lebanon insinuating that the mere existence of the resistance is enough reason for the enemy to wage war, and to prevent this, the resistance should be eliminated. This is very dangerous because it gives Israel every reason to attack Lebanon. Unfortunately, some Lebanese are saying what the Israelis themselves are not saying. They are holding the resistance responsible in advance for any Israeli attack. Is this really a call for war? This is a justification that some Lebanese are giving to Israel to wage war.”

The Secretary General stressed Israel has been living a dilemma since its failure in Lebanon during the 2006 war. “Israel has not been able to impose peace or wage war. What’s been taking place in Israel following the 2006 and Gaza wars is normal; the Israelis have acknowledged failure and admitted that the resistance has grown stronger. When Israel wants to go to war, it has to be conditional. They should be able to accomplish a clear, decisive, and guaranteed victory, not just victory as a possibility.
In Lebanon, Palestine and Syria, we are so strong that Israel cannot wage war on us whenever it wants to. It is not enough for Israel to have a strong possibility of victory because this entity cannot tolerate another defeat. In Israel, there is a problem of recruiting soldiers and many other problems related to self-confidence. I tell the people in Israel that the Iron Dome issue is more science fiction than reality. Some are still questioning its feasibility. Israel still needs time to address its tactics and at the same time, its policy is to stop the power of its enemies from growing. They are following three measures: 1-Threatening with war; if you bring this kind of weapons will do so and so…rest assure, we’ll bring them, that is if we haven’t brought them already. 2- The security measures: Assassinating Hajj Redwan (Imad Moghniyeh) and (Mohammed) Mabhouh among others. 3- Sedition: What hindering the inter-Palestinian reconciliation is Israel and any Arab who hinders this reconciliation is doing Israel a favor.”

Syed Nasrallah said threat should be faced with courage. “When Israel threatened Syria with war, the foreign minister, who is the top diplomat, responded. This was intentional and not just a coincidence. I am sure that Israel and Arab regimes were stunned when they heard the Syrian response because it was clear and transparent. Two hours after the response, everyone in Israel was denying threatening Syria. This is an example. You remember (Ehud) Barak speaking about a swift and decisive victory…But what we are hearing today is that any Israeli war should have ‘modest objectives.’ Barak himself said the following two months ago: ‘If you look at the Lebanese border you will find everything is quiet, but if you raise your head a little more, you will find tens of thousands of Hezbollah fighters ready for us.’  When their tone began to fade out, they set the so called “Dahiyeh Theory.” This theory stipulates destroying Beirut’s southern suburb, although the Israeli Air Force was incapable to achieve more than it had achieved during the 2006 war. In August 2009, we told them that if you hit Dahiyeh, we’ll hit Tel Aviv and that we long for war but we do not want it. We have to know that the real concentration of Israelis stretches from south of Haifa to south of Tel Aviv, at a 15-kilometer deep line to the east. The bulk of residents are there, and so are oil refineries and factories and practically everything. They might think that they can destroy buildings in Dahiyeh and that we can barely puncture a few of their buildings. If you destroy buildings in Dahiyeh, we’ll demolish buildings in Tel Aviv.”

Syed Nasrallah added that “when Israel found that there war=s nothing that can demoralize the resistance, they went to threaten the Lebanese government and people of destroying the infrastructure. Just as we have infrastructure, there is infrastructure in occupied Palestine. We have one airport and they have airports, we have a few electricity stations and they have huge electricity stations, they have oil refineries and we have a few. The Israeli infrastructure is much bigger than ours and therefore I tell them the following: If you strike martyr Rafiq Hariri’s international airport in Beirut, we’ll strike your Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. If you hit our ports, we will hit your ports. If you attack our refineries or factories, we’ll bomb your refineries and factories.
Today, on this occasion, I announce and accept this challenge. As people, army, and resistance, we are capable of protecting our country and we do not need anyone in this world to do this for us. This is how we face threats: with more threats, not with retreat, not with fear, but with steadfastness and threats. We have never sought war but we have the responsibility to defend our country and to stand firm on our land.”

On martyr Imad Moghniyeh’s assassination, the resistance leader said: “Today, on the anniversary in memory of Imad, I say that we seek revenge as big as Imad Mugniyah. That is what we want. Not revenge for the sake of revenge, but in order to defend all of our leaders. In the last couple of years, we had lots of small opportunities to avenge Hajj Redwan’s death, but we did not go for them, because the killing we want to avenge is Imad Moghniyeh’s. Our enemy is anxious, let him stay anxious. We will choose the time, the place and the target which we want to be worthy of the martyrdom of Imad Moghniyeh.”

“We are loyal to the path of our leaders and we tell our martyrs that they can rest assure that their path will always be open and the cause they sacrificed their lives for will be fulfilled. We are your sons and your brothers and we will fulfill your dreams God willing.”

Notorious Wahhabi terrorists forced a convoy of 300 Shia Muslims not to return their homes in Kurram Agency, Parachinar.

Notorious Wahhabi terrorists forced a convoy of 300 Shia Muslims not to return their homes in Kurram Agency, Parachinar. The convoy was stopped at Kohat Bypass, Nusrat Khel in North Western Frontier Province (NWFP).

According to the Shiite News Correspondent, the hapless and helpless Shias of Parachinar had suffered immense mental torture because of Wahhabis’ nine-hour road blockade at Kohat By-Pass.

The convoy of Shia notables, professional, educationists, students, women and patients was on war to Parachinar Wahhabi terrorists of Kohat forced them to return to Peshawar, on Tuesday.

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Kohat and high officials of Pakistan Army also failed to provide them safe-passage when the convoy sought security from them through repeated contacts.

The relevant high officials had not taken any action against the terrorists but held negotiations to clear the route. Shia Muslims condemn the government’s officials for their abject failure to shoulder its primary responsibility that is protection of Pakistani citizens.

Some of the victims told Shiite News that on one hand, U.S.-led NATO and ISAF forces make tall claims of anti-terrorists operations but they too killed civilians largely. And on the other, there are tall claims that Taliban fights foreign occupation but they too target innocent civilians such as Shia Muslims of Parachinar.

“It still remains a fixed match between the foreign occupation and self-claimed anti-occupation militants because they don’t kill each other so heavily as compared to killings by them of hundreds of innocent and non-combatant Muslims,” said a Karachi-based analyst.

Parachinar, Kurram Agency had been under siege for more than last three years because pro-Taliban and pro-Al-Qaeda local Wahhabi terrorists were enjoying complete freedom to hold residents of whole of the area hostage through encirclement.

The convoy had started travelling towards their homes at Parachinar from Peshawar.

The brutal siege of hapless Shia Muslims in Kurram Agency, Parachinar had evoked a countrywide wave of protest rallies across the country. That compelled the Government to start two convoys monthly from Kurram Agency to Peshawar and Peshawar to Kurram agency. Frontier Corps and other Army personnel were assigned to guard the convoy but they failed because Wahhabi terrorists control a vast area of the route leading to Parachinar from Peshawar.

Kurram agency, a federally administered tribal area (FATA), has a population of more than 0.8 million Shia Muslims who suffered from brutalities of Taliban terrorists much more than any other religious or ethnic community.

Shia Muslims of Kurram Agency (Parachinar) had to travel to Pakistani territories via Afghanistan because the government and army of Pakistan lacked their writ in the areas leading to Parachinar.

The Shia Muslims of Parachinar, Jaffaria Alliance of Shia organisations and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen of Shia groups have condemned the criminal silence of United Nations Human Rights Council, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, International Crisis Group and Human Rights Organisation of Pakistan (HRCP), civil society, NGOs and lawyers organisations towards the worst violation of human rights of Shia Muslims.

They also condemned the Western governments that are self-claimed champions of human rights.

They said that hapless Shia Muslims suffer from genocide, massacre and pogrom-like anti-Shiism since early 1980s but no serious practical step has been taken so far against the perpetrators of genocide of Shia Muslims in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Shia Muslims and anti-Taliban Sunni Muslims are under impression that Israeli Mossad, American CIA and British MI5 and MI6 and their allied agencies of other countries had invented Taliban and Al-Qaeda to tame anti-Imperialist and anti-Colonialist Muslims under the pretext that the U.S. and its allies would protect the victims of Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

Since 9/11 (2001), U.S. army and its allies remain present in this region but they too failed to contain the threat of terrorism. Shia Muslims were target of Wahhabi terrorism before 9/11 and they are still target of these notorious terrorists even after 9/11.

woman Saudi author murdered for ‘forsaking Wahhabism’

A female Saudi author has been reportedly murdered by her family members for expressing support for the non-Wahhabi Islamic faiths, including Shiism.

Belqeis Molhem was murdered by two of her “fanatical” brothers in the Shia-populated city of al-Ahsa, east of Saudi Arabia, some months ago, the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Al-Watan reported.

Also a poetess and a teacher, the 1977-born Molhem had graduated in Islamic studies from the King Faisal University

Molhem’s death is blamed on her religious stance and her positive position on the Islamic faiths other than the Kingdom’s official religion of Wahhabism — an extremely intolerant interpretation of Islam.

The victim had recently written a number of articles, censuring the ignorance in Saudi Arabia about the family of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH) — buried in Saudi Arabia and highly revered within the Shia faith.

Wahhabism is known for the strict limits it imposes on the females who, in line with the school’s restrictions, are not allowed to drive or visit the shrine of the Shia religious figures. She had also written an article, reflecting on her daughter’s respect for Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah. The works prompted far-reaching reactions from her family and the religious circles within the Kingdom who accused her of turning her back on the ancestral religion of Wahhabism and gravitating towards Shiism. The allegations later caused Molhem’s husband to divorce her.

The Saudi authorities arrested the perpetrators, both employed by the state-owned national oil company Saudi Aramco, following a complaint submitted to the Interior Ministry by one of the victim’s children. The survivor has blamed foul play on his two uncles.

The director of the Malek Fahd hospital in Al-Hofuf of the Al-Ahsa Oasis and a cousin of the victim is being questioned in the case. The suspect is said to have issued the permission for Molhem’s burial and alleged that the victim had died of natural causes.

The incident is reportedly the second of its kind to happen in the Kingdom due to religious bigotry after a Saudi female was killed last year by her sibling for converting from Wahhabism. Saudi officials have refused comments on the aspects of the crime and the motives behind it.

Molhem’s younger brother, Abdul-Rahim, is affiliated to the al-Qaeda terrorist network and is currently imprisoned in Iraq on terrorism charges. He recently appeared on the Iraqi television to confess.

February 16th martyrdom anniversary of Hezbullah leader Sheikh Ragheb Harb

Birth and Childhood

Sheikh Ragheb Harb was born in 1952 in the southern town of “Jibsheet” to two hard working parents who were distinguished their strong bonding to Islamic principles. During his childhood young Ragheb wasn’t quite interested in entertainment like most of his peers. At the age of seven he enrolled in an elementary public school in “Jibsheet”, and later went to the city of “Nabatiyeh” to continue his middle-school education, after which he left school to pursue his childhood dream, religious studies.

Moving to Beirut

In 1969, young Ragheb Harb, now 17, left his home town for Beirut, the capital. In the big city he pursued his religious studies; meeting numerous clerics and learning from them, and even joining their discussion groups. The close-knit circle he joined took part in many ceremonies and activities, increasing the young cleric’s enthusiasm and interest. A year after he joined Islamic activism, he started looking forward to completing his studies at the Islamic Hawza (religious school) in the holy city of “Al-Najaf” in Iraq.

At the holy City of “Al-Najaf”

Sheikh Ragheb Harb lived at the schools of the holy city of “Al-Najaf” where he studied under the supervision of it’s great masters, preparing himself to work at the service of the Islamic message .The cleric (Sheikh) Ragheb returned to Lebanon to visit his parents and friends ,then went back to “Al-Najaf “to complete his studies ,but this time he only stayed there for one and a half years due to the suppression of the Iraqi regime at the time against the clerics. So he came back in 1974 .

Back to “Jibsheet”

He went back to his home town realizing that his path was not a bed of roses. He knew that his road was going to be hard and long ,and it required much effort ,so he headed towards reforming what the state of affairs had ruined, and worked on portraying Islam in its crystal clear image through his preaching and the lectures he used to give. Sheikh Ragheb Harb was able to gather people around him through his magnetic approach. After he became confident of the awareness which he established among the people in his hometown, he wanted to go beyond the border of his tiny village, increasing the parameters of his work to include surrounding villages. So he started to communicate with their residents, sharing their concerns. This led to the successful establishment of the “Sayedah Zeinab” Islamic school under his patronage.

His social activities

Speaking of the experience of the cleric of the martyrs in the field of social work, we have to read clearly the method of thinking of the martyr, the cleric, which was distinguished in his character, and had a unique insight. He was working in pretty complicated circumstances, but he managed to achieve substantial success. And, probably, the most prominent social project that the martyr established was “the treasury of the Muslims” attributed to end poverty that prevailed in the villages of the south, which was directly influenced by the famine and deprivation policy applied by the political authority back then.
Sheikh Harb strived to establish “the treasury of the Muslims” that gave small loans to pious people, ranging between one hundred pounds to five hundred pounds per person as a minimum average.
These simple loans helped solve many financial problems in large sections of the pious community.

Establishing “Al Sharkieh” school

Given the fact that he moved to live in the town of “Al Sharkieh” which is 8 km from “Nabatiyeh”, and under the wishes of a number of believers in that village, the cleric saw that it was necessary to build an elementary school for the kids of the village. He helped dig the foundations of the new site using the shovel; within a short period of time he completed the construction of a two story school on a piece of land belonging to the treasury board.

The Martyr Foundation

As the war in Lebanon went on, the “Israeli” occupation amplified the social and political devastation, leaving behind hundreds of martyrs and thousands of homeless people.
In this grim climate, the Martyrs Foundation was launched in Lebanon. It became a foundation which Sheikh Harb played a prominent role in creating. By the year 1978, the influence of the Islamic revolution in Iran surpassed all borders, and the cleric “Sheikh” Ragheb stayed a supporter to the causes of the revolution and its noble objectives, defending it strongly wherever he was until the very last moment of his life.
The stages of the confrontations with the Zionist occupation
Early in the month of June in 1982, the enemy invaded Lebanon, engulfing it in fire, destroying all barriers that stood in its way amidst an international conspiracy and Arab silence. At the time, Sheikh Ragheb Harb was not living in south Lebanon; he was attending an Islamic conference in the Islamic republic; it was there that he heard the news about the invasion and the occupation’s violation of the South. This affected him deeply. He immediately decided to go back to take his place in the confrontation. After his arrival, he discovered there was a little done in the evening, so he called on people to
go to the mosque for prayers in defiance of the occupation. He resumed holding Friday prayers, even under the nozzles of the Zionists. Those prayers were filled with heroism, challenge and pride.

The first confrontation

The cleric (Sheikh) Ragheb Harb proclaimed his refusal to communicate with the “Israeli” enemy or cooperate in any form with it, calling upon the “Israeli” agents to drop their weapons and come back to their parents. One of his famous quotes was “A position is a Weapon and a Hand Shake is an Acknowledgement.” And so he never shook hands with the Zionists.

One day the cleric was sitting on the roof of his house with some friends when he saw them approaching him, so he yelled at them to back off, but they didn’t comply, and they proceeded until they walked up to him. One of the occupation officers put out his arm to shake hands with the sheikh. But the Sheikh Ragheb refused to comply. Sheikh Ragheb realized that from that time he was being followed and would be arrested at any time; therefore, he had to calculate every move.

Enemy breaks into Sheikh’s house

As it was expected, the heavily-armed Zionist troops broke into his house many times. The most significant break-in was in December of 1982, but they failed to find him. The enemy was aware of the movement of the cleric due to the spies and agents that were on the lookout for him to locate his place. On march 8th , 1983, after midnight , a large Ragheb Harb 4″Israeli” unit broke into the house he staying in, taking the cleric blindfolded to the intelligence headquarter near the village of ” zebdeen” “south of Lebanon”, and was later moved to the infamous “Anssar” concentration camp, and after that to the intelligence headquarter in Tyre city. After his arrest, the people of the town took to the streets, and then they headed to “Al-Husseniyah” hall and called for an open protest until his release. The occupation forces had to release him under the intensely mounting pressure the uprising of the people created. At that raging stage of the conflict, the resistance operations of Muslim fighters intensified, teaching the enemy hard lessons. The cleric was the leader of the resistance at the time, and the occupation wanted him dead.
And so it was. On February 16th, on a Friday night in 1984, he was assassinated by “Israeli” enemy agents.

Israeli warplanes draw Lebanese anti-aircraft fire

The Lebanese Army has opened anti-aircraft fire on intruding Israeli military aircrafts flying low over its airspace, reports indicate.

The Lebanese forces launched the defensive fire on four intruding aircrafts “overflying southern Lebanon, Hasbaya, the Shouf and the Bekaa,” all in southeastern Lebanon, read an army statement quoted by the AFP.

One such incident last month prompted deputy spokesman for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon Andrea Tenenti to warn about Israel’s violation of the Lebanese airspace. Tenenti said the incursions were in contravention of the UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended a 33-day Israeli war on Lebanon in the summer of 2006.

The incident follows last month’s threat of another war on Lebanon by an Israeli minister.

“During the past two months, every day we have Israeli planes entering Lebanese airspace,” Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri has said, though the resolution calls on Israel to end its invasion of Lebanon’s sovereignty by land, sea and air. Hariri has also called on the international community to take measures to prevent a possible Israeli attack on his country.

Israel, however, claims that it carries out the air sorties to monitor what it calls “massive arms smuggling by Hezbollah.”

The Hezbollah resistance movement, an active member of Lebanon’s coalition government, defended the country against the 2006 Israeli war as well as other offensives by the Tel Aviv regime. The cabinet adopted a policy statement, granting Hezbollah the right to keep its arms after the group’s inclusion in the unity government.

Hezbollah warns against attack on Iran, Syria

Hezbollah’s deputy secretary general for political affairs says the Lebanese movement would consider any attack on Iran or Syria as aggression against themselves.

“Hezbollah considers any attack on any faction of the resistance movements, or on the two supporting nations of Iran or Syria, as an attack on all of them,” Hassan Khalil told Kuwait’s Al-Dar.

“We will respond to any Israeli aggression on Lebanon,” he added.

Earlier this month, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that Damascus would stand by Beirut, should Israel launch another war on Lebanon.

“Syria will stand alongside the government and people of Lebanon against any possible Israeli aggression launched on Lebanon,” Assad said in a meeting with visiting Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in Damascus.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak had recently said that Syria should clinch a peace deal with Israel or find itself in a “full-fledged war” with Tel Aviv.

A few days later hawkish Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman threatened Assad with a war in which “his family will lose power” on top of a military defeat for the country.

Safiyeddine: Keeping “Israelis” Worried, Anxious, and Terrified is One of our Aims

Head of Hezbullah’s Executive council Syed Hashem Safiyeddine pointed out that the resistance is one of Lebanon’s most important points of strength and should not be squandered. Syed Safiyeddine stressed in a ceremony held in Jibshiit on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hizbullah’s leaders that Lebanon’s political identity in its relationship with “Israel” has forever been determined.

He lauded all stances consolidating with the resistance against “Israel” and its threats, stressing that it is one of Hezbullah’s aims “to keep the “Israelis” terrified, anxious, and worried about their situation, because the moment they feel secure, they will not leave the resistance and its people alone; they will do everything possible to target our country.

“As a resistance and a people, today we hold Lebanon’s points of strength. The patriotic Lebanese who cares for his country, nation, and future should also care for all points of strength in this country. The resistance is one of these points of strength which Lebanon holds, and no one is allowed to squander it,” he concluded.

Dawn of Victory: Who is Hajj Imad Moghnieh?

Thursday the 12th of July, 1962 was no ordinary day for the southern town of Tair Dibba of Lebanon. On that day the town’s Fayez Moghnieh family received a new born they named Imad Moghnieh, the first and eldest of his brothers. Relative to his peers, Imad’s childhood flew rapidly, and he died martyr before old age set in. He was assassinated at the age of 45, on the 12th of February, 2008. His martyrdom became a beacon to the resistance fighters, just as his life, biography and deeds were.
Imad was brought up by modest and spiritual parents; their religiosity and love of Ahl-Albait was passed onto him from a young age. He was worthy of the legacy which he bequeathed in turn to the thousands of Mujahideen he met, and the thousands of Mujahideen to come.

From his childhood through youth to his martyrdom, Imad was a special person, known for his religiosity and piety, jovialness and love for others. His great sense of tolerance and humility with the pious was contrasted with an intense and rugged arrogance and condescension to the enemies of God, the enemies of His Messenger and the enemies of the believers.

Due to difficult living conditions, Fayez Moghnieh’s family moved along with Imad and his brothers to the southern suburbs of Beirut to settle in the town of Shiah, a suburb which became a source for a great number of martyrs and cadres of resistance.
Imad went to Shiah school until the beginning of 1975 when the civil war began in Lebanon. He joined the ranks of Fatah movement at the time to defend the Palestinian resistance and protect his people in the wake of attacks and killings by forces loyal to “Israelis”. Imad enrolled in one of the elite units of the Fatah movement, soon to rise rapidly in its ranks, although he was the youngest among his peers at the time. He received a great deal of training and combat skills in the ranks of this unit. When he was later put in charge of one of Fatah’s centers, he drew a large number of young people to the unit, who rallied around him and acted under his orders though they were mostly older than him at the time.

Despite his responsibilities in the Fatah movement, and despite the war and its almost daily battles, Imad clung to his religious commitment and was a regular attendant at Shiah mosque and a committed listener to the sermons of its preachers and classes of its teachers, among them Ayatollah Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah, who came to the area from al-Naba’a locality in East Beirut, in the wake Phalange Party attacks on its people.

Imad headed a cell of faithful people that provided protection and escort for Ayatollah Fadlallah, after the failed assassination attempt on his life in 1980, until the “Israeli” invasion of Lebanon in 1982, when he, along with a number of his brethren were among the first Mujahideen to confront the advancing “Israeli” Army in Khaldeh area.
He remained in Beirut during its siege and the period that followed, when the “Israeli” Army moved into a number of Beirut’s neighborhoods. He was among the Mujahideen who silently worked against the “Israelis”, inflicting them with heavy losses and casualties which they had to carry with them as they were forced to retreat out of Beirut.

Not settling for its withdrawal from Beirut, Imad pursued the “Israeli” forces into the south and was among the initial founders of resistance action against “Israel”. He moved with his friends to join the ranks of the resistance since its founding beginnings in 1982, when Hajj Radwan-known as a commander, planner, military and security engineer- was responsible for the planning and execution of many jihad operations against the occupying “Israelis.”

Martyr Hajj Radwan was a forerunner among brothers and martyrs who achieved many resistance victories in southern Lebanon throughout the years of “Israeli” occupation. He was the victor and the “Israelis” lost in the many confrontation rounds he engaged them in. He developed a resistance combat school that was to become a model, whether by planning, implementation, equipage, or knowledge of and work on enemy capabilities and weaknesses.

The Americans accused Hajj Radwan of masterminding their humiliating exit from Lebanon, along with the French forces, which invaded Lebanon in the framework of a multinational force to replace the “Israeli” occupation forces in Beirut. According to U.S. intelligence, Hajj Radwan was behind the bombings against the Americans in Lebanon, including the simultaneous bombing of the Marines in 1983, which killed 241 Americans, and the French paratroopers Camp that killed at least 63 French paratroopers.
This led to the collapse of the U.S. plan in Lebanon, as the Americans were forced to retreat from the Lebanese arena.

Thus, strength-building was conducive to the goal of victory.
This led eventually to victory in the year 2000; at the time, he was the field commander against a first time ever retreat by the “Israeli” Forces from Lebanon, the first unconditional “Israeli” retreat from Arab land since the establishment of Zionist entity.
He also commandeered the July 2006 war victory, a heroic epic that totally transformed modern warfare doctrine; a war victory studied in depth by friends and foes alike, who are still working on understanding it, in order to either emulate it or to find ways to confront it.

After his martyrdom, Hajj Radwan deserved the exceptional title of “Leader of the Two Victories” given to him by Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the May 2000 and the July 2006 victories.

Chalabi: US interfering in Iraq elections

Head of Iraq’s Accountability and Justice Commission says the US interferes in the war-torn country’s electoral process.

Ahmed Chalabi has accused Washington of putting pressure on the commission in charge of vetting the candidates.

He attended a news conference on Sunday and condemned the US intervention in Iraqi affairs, Press TV correspondent in Baghdad reported.

“The appeal committee was publicly submitted to the pressure of foreign groups, like (US) Vice President Biden who said when he was in Iraq that he hoped Iraqi justice will dissolve the committee of integrity and accountability,” said Chalabi.

“Or when the American ambassador in Baghdad expressed his wish that the Iraqi justice system will solve an inconvenient matter — the issue of the 500 candidates,” AFP quoted him as saying.

His remarks follow a decision by an appellate court to ban 145 candidates from participating in parliamentary elections, expected on March 7, over ties to Iraq’s former Dictator Saddam Hussein’s Baath party.

The appeals panel reinstated only 26 of the 171 candidates, who appealed their disqualification.

The committee had barred 500 candidates from participation in election over ‘ties with Saddam Hussein’s political and military apparatus.’ But an appellate court reduced the number of banned candidates to 145.

Amid the dispute last month, US Vice President Joe Biden paid a visit to Baghdad. His visit was aimed at persuading Iraqi officials to reverse the ban on candidates with links to the Baath party, according to Chalabi.

It may be noted here that the United States wants the participation of the Saddam Loyalists Baathists in the upcoming General election in Iraq. The Shiite community in Iraq was stage massive protest demonstration across the Iraq against the US pressure to allow the terrorists of Saddam’s Baath’s party in the upcoming election.

Acording to the Shiite News Correspondent,Hundreds of thousands shiite Muslims had killed by the Saddam’s and Baathists during the regime Government in Iraq.

Yemeni Shia fighters show commitment to peace

Yemeni Shia fighters live up to the terms of a ceasefire deal with the government by withdrawing from an occupied airport and removing north-based roadblocks.

“Today, we carried out our withdrawal from the perimeter of the airport of (the city of) Sa’ada,” Mohammed Abdel Salam, spokesman for the fighters, also known as Houthis, was quoted by AFP as saying on Saturday.

The fighters also denied allegations that they had made attempts to assassinate Interior Minister Undersecretary Mohammed al-Qawsi, Reuters reported, citing a Saturday broadcast by the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera television.

Army commanders said the ceasefire came into effect at midnight (2100 GMT Thursday) after Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh agreed to halt assaults on Houthi positions in a bid to end more than five years of intermittent fighting.

Sana’a intensified the raids in August and was in November joined by Saudi Arabia which claimed that the fighters had been involved in cross-border attacks on the Kingdom.

The truce came two weeks after the Shia fighters offered a unilateral ceasefire with the government to protect civilian lives.

The United Nations says 250,000 civilians had been displaced and hundreds have been killed since Sana’a started the war on the Houthis in 2004.

Salam, who said the fighters had begun removing the checkpoints in the north said, “Measures are underway to hand over the Saudi prisoners to a mediator.”

On the day of prophet Mohammad martyrdom: Muslims rally in Norway against Prophet’s caricatures in Norwegian daily

About 3,000 people have marched through downtown Oslo in protest of the printing of a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) by a Norwegian newspaper. Protesters called on Friday that they wanted to show the Norwegian media how hurtful such images are to Muslims. Islamic tradition has always opposed any depiction of the prophet, even favorable ones.
The demonstrators chanted slogans such as “God is greater” in Arabic and waved placards calling for a boycott of the daily newspaper.
“We have done nothing to anybody. We want to live here in peace. Norway is our home. Our children live here. Why should they (Norwegian media) hurt us like this?” said Naradim Muhammad, a 43-year-old school teacher who helped organize the demonstration.
On February 3, the newspaper published a photograph showing a man in front of a computer screen with a depiction of the holy prophet as a untold picture of an animal.
The picture accompanied an article about the posting of offensive materials about Muslims and Jews on the Facebook page of Norway’s security police.
The Acting editor-in-chief of the daily Dagbladet, Lars Helle, was quoted by AP as saying that he doesn’t regret printing the image and that he welcomed Friday’s protest.
“It was a test for Norwegian society, whether this would be a peaceful protest or not,” Helle said.
He said Dagbladet has not received any direct threats since it published the caricature.
A hacker attack originating from Turkey brought down the newspaper’s website for two hours Wednesday evening, though Helle said it was ‘unclear’ whether it was connected to the caricature’s publication.

ISLAMIC REVOLUTION 31ST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED IN PAKISTAN

Thirty-first anniversary of the victory of Islamic revolution was celebrated across Pakistan on Thursday.
According to the Shiite News Correspondent, Many programmes were held to mark the anniversary in big cities in particular.
Hujjat ul Islam Maulana Jawad Naqvi spoke at a gathering late Wednesday night at a local hall here.
He paid tributes of Imam Khomeini, founder of Islamic revolution and first Constitutional head of the state after the victory of the revolution.
Mr. Naqvi said that Iranian nation set an example and precedent for the oppressed and disadvantaged people and victims of the brutal monarchic and dictatorial rule of hereditary king.
He said that Islamic revolution proved that practicing true Islam is sole peaceful, moderate and rational way to attain the legitimate and inalienable rights of the downtrodden people.
Apart from Pakistani supporters of Islamic revolution, Iranian embassy and consulates also arranged programs to celebrate the anniversary.
Karachi University’s Vice Chancellor, Pirzada Qasim Siddiqui, a Sunni Muslim scholar and educationist, eulogized Islamic revolution at a celebration at Khana-e-Farhang in Karachi.
It remains an interesting fact that Pakistani secular persons also support the foreign policy of Islamic Republic of Iran, let alone the religious Pakistani Muslims.
Even the critics and opponents admit Iranian revolution’s intellectual groundswell.
“Iran’s Islamic revolution stands at the opposite pole of the Taliban and al-Qaeda’s ideology unleashed on Pakistan today,” Suroosh Irfani, a Lahore based educationist and writer, wrote in a column in a pro-U.S. secular Daily Times on April 26, 2009.
In fact, he had quoted Yale Professor and former Carnegie scholar Abbas Amanat who noted several years ago that Iranian revolution gave rise to a new historical consciousness relatively free of historical biases and prejudice.
Mr. Irfani, however, admitted an incontrovertible fact that Iranian revolution is the spectacle of pacifist Islam it enacted at a cosmic scale never before witnessed in human history.
According to him unarmed supporters of the revolution in Iran, became a model for non-violent revolutions in Eastern Europe that unraveled autocratic states and the Soviet bloc a decade later.
However, ordinary Pakistanis support Islamic revolution because of its free and bold policies, self-reliance, defense of Islam and Muslims by just approaches and unwavering support for Palestine and uncompromising opposition to Zionist regime of Israel.
