Holy Shrine of Companions of the Holy Prophet Bombed by the Wahabi Terrorist in Syria
JNN 29 Mar 2014 Damascus : Wahabi Terrorist from an al Qaeda splinter group bombed a large Shi’ite Muslim shrines of Companions of the Holy Prophet , Owais Al Qarni , and Ammar Bin Yasir in the eastern Syrian city of Raqqa on Wednesday, activists said.
The mosque of Ammar bin Yassir and Oweis al-Qarni was once a destination for Shi’ite Muslim pilgrims from Iran, Lebanon and Iraq before it was taken over a year ago by Wahabi terrorist battling to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.
One photo posted on Twitter on Wednesday under the heading “the pagan Iranian shrine” showed extensive damage to the exterior walls and roof of the site, a turquoise and white complex of domes and minarets centered around a tiled courtyard.
Another picture showed concrete and twisted metal strewn on the street outside the mosque – built under Assad’s rule with support from Lover’s of Ahlulbait from Iran – while another showed an interior wall that had collapsed inward.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group said the al Qaeda splinter group Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) had set off two powerful explosions at the mosque early on Wednesday.
Many fighters from ISIL and other radical Wahabi Terrorist groups in Syria , who are being sponsored by the Saudi Monarchy who have their own Ideology , which they claim it to be Islam , and the basic Principle of which is to deem every other Sect of the Original Islam as infidels and consider their Religious Places , including the shrines idolatrous, and therefore these Places and People are always their Prime targets.
Their attacks have stirred fears in neighbouring Turkey that the Wahabi Terrorist next target will be the tomb of Suleyman Shah, grandfather of the Ottoman Empire, which lies on the Euphrates river inside Syria but is guarded by Turkish special forces.
Ankara regards the tomb as sovereign Turkish territory under a treaty signed with France in 1921, when Syria was under French rule, and threatened earlier this month to retaliate for any attack on the mausoleum.
President Abdullah Gul said on Sunday Turkey would defend the site in the same way it would defend any Turkish land. “However the motherland is protected, that place will be protected in the same way,” he said.

Syrian Army takes full control of Yabroud , 500 Terrorist Killed
JNN 16 Mar 2014 Damascus : The Syrian army has taken full control of the southwestern town of Yabroud, the last major stronghold of foreign-backed militants near the Lebanese border , Killing atleast 500 foreign infested terrorists.
According to Press TV, Syrian forces carried out mop-up operations pushing back the militants from the strategic town in the mountainous region of Qalamoun.
In their latest drive to clear more areas of militants, the Syrian troops managed to enter the eastern districts of Yabroud on Saturday.
The town is located north of the capital, Damascus.
The takeover of Yabroud will cut supply lines of the foreign-sponsored militants. The advance is considered a major gain for the Syrian army, which has been engaged in a fierce battle against foreign-backed militants for three years.
The army units have killed over 500 foreign-backed terrorists since the beginning of their operations in Yabroud town in Damascus countryside, an informed military source told FNA today.
The source noted that the army has seized the town’s main square and it has regained control of Al-Akhzar Grand Mosque and its Catholic church.
Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army took control of a strategic mountainous area in Al-Qalamoun region in Damascus countryside.
The army units continued their military operations in Qalamoun and retook Marmaroun Mountain in the same area, an informed military source told FNA today.
Meantime, the Lebanese army tightened security of its common borders with Syria in a bid to confront infiltration of the militants from illegal checkpoints.
Also, the Syrian army made major advances in several districts of Yabroud after pushing back the foreign-backed militants.
The army pounded militants’ positions and gathering centers in the town of Yabroud in Damascus countryside before staging a massive raid on the militants’ concentration points in the town.
The Syrian army has now brought Yabroud under its full control and the militants are in a difficult situation because they have lost all their positions in the area.
Yabroud was under the control of the foreign-backed militants over the past months. It was the last major town in Qalamoun that the Syrian army is fighting to retake.
The town is located near the Lebanese border and explosives used in fatal bomb attacks in Lebanon were reportedly smuggled from the militant-held town.
Meantime, the Syrian army units on Saturday inflicted heavy losses upon militants in several areas, killing and injuring a number of them and destroying their weapons.
Also, a military source said that army units killed a number of militants in al-Marjeh and al-Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods in Aleppo city and destroyed their weapons and ammunition.
The source added that other army units destroyed militant groups’ hideouts in the villages of Hilan, Andan, Erbid, the free zone, Talet al-Madafeh, Rasem al-Abboud, al-Jadideh, al mansourah, Kafer Hamra, al-Shurfeh al-safra, azan. Ebtin, Kwairis and surrounding Aleppo central prison, and destroyed their tools.
Meantime, the head of the so-called Syrian National Coalition (SNC) called on the opposition’s Western allies to deliver on their promises about supplying heavy weapons to the militants in Syria.
Ahmad Jarba claimed that the militants were pledged by the allies to be supplied by heavy weapons during the recent talks in the Swiss city of Geneva.
The SNC chief also slammed the United States for not going ahead with its military threats against the Syrian government.
Jarba said that the conflict in Syria would have been closer to the end in case of a foreign military intervention.
Meantime, the media reports said that the Syrian opposition coalition has proposed a plan to reach a peace agreement with Israel in lieu of Tel Aviv’s direct military intervention in Syria.
Member of the Syrian opposition coalition Kamal Al-Labvani has asked Israel to take attach the Golan Heights to itself forever instead of declaring a free fly-zone over the Southern parts of Syria, Al-Arab newspaper reported.
“Why shouldn’t we be able to sell the Golan Heights because it is better than losing Syria and Golan at once,” Al-Labvani told the Arab-language newspaper.
The Syrian opposition’s proposal includes a no-fly zone in Southern Syria by using Israel’s Patriot and other air defense missile systems.
Earlier this month, Syria filed an official complaint to the United Nations over a recent Israeli attack in the occupied Golan Heights and also for Tel Aviv’s direct support for militants in Syria.
In the complaint, addressed in separate official letters to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the president of the UN Security Council, Syria emphasized that the aggression showed that the Israeli regime was directly involved in backing the militant groups operating inside Syria against the government of President Bashar al-Assad.
The formal letters also condemned the Israeli attack as flagrant violation of the disengagement agreement of 1974, the UN Charter and the international la[w

Ousted Libyan PM Flees to Europe
JNN 15 Mar 2014 Tripoli : Ex-premier Ali Zeidan reportedly fled to Europe on Wednesday, a day after Libya’s interim parliament in Tripoli voted him out of office for failing to stop an oil export by rebels from eastern Libya.
Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat told the state-owned Maltese television TVM that Zeidan stopped over on the Mediterranean island nation late on Tuesday.
Maltese government sources quoted by Reuters said Zeidan left on board a private plan bound for Germany. This was not confirmed by German authorities.
Zeidan lived for many years in Europe before the 2011 uprising against the late-Muammar Gadhafi encouraged exiles like him to return home.
Libya’s parliament, the General National Congress (GNC), removed Zeidan on Tuesday after rebels holding three key ports in eastern Libya disobeyed government orders and let shipments be handled by the state-run National Oil Corporation.
On Tuesday, the large North Korea-flagged tanker Morning Glory, loaded with crude oil from the rebel-controlled port of Sidra, escaped through a improvised naval blockage imposed by Zeidan. The tanker then entered international waters. The Captain & 8 other crew members were of Pakistani Origin on the Ship.
Last Saturday, Zeidan had threatened to bomb the 37,000-ton vessel if it set sail.
Fighting broke out briefly later on Tuesday in the central coastal city of Sirte, between rebels and pro-government forces.
Caretaker premier
The interim parliament appointed Defense Minister Abdullah al-Thini as caretaker premier for 15 days. The parliament’s speaker, Nuri Abu Sahmain, had been engaged in a power struggle with Zeidan,
Since the 2011 ouster of Gadhafi, Libya has been divided along tribal, regional and political lines, with hardline Islamists opposed to more liberal figures such as Zeidan.
The country has no effective army or police and its Tripoli-based government risks running out of money because of rebel activities.
