Suicide attack in Kohat kills 17 Shia Passengers

PESHAWAR: A teenage suicide bomber killed 17 people at a busy Pakistani bus terminal on Wednesday, the third attack in three days as the country stepped up security for the holy month of Muharram.

The bomber blew himself up in Kohat, home to at least half a million people and one of the main garrisons for the Pakistan military, in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“It was a suicide blast. The death toll has risen to 17,” Kohat police chief Dilawar Bangash told AFP, adding that 25 others were wounded, seven of them seriously.

Police said the bomber blew himself up at the door of a bus carrying passengers to the nearby tribal district of Orakzai, where Pakistan has encouraged displaced civilians to return after an anti-Taliban offensive.

“We have found the head and legs of the suicide bomber,” said Bangash. The bus terminal is in Tirah bazaar, the main market in the town.

The attack coincided with the start of Muharram, which traditionally is seen as the Shia Religious Month when every shia is active in his/her religious activities , where they try to propagate the injustices of Yazid , the worst ruler in the history of Islam , who for his worldly affairs , contradicted the norms of Islam ,and tried to molest the true Picture of Islam up to such an extent , that Imam Hussain has to come & stand in his way , but even then Imam didnt tried to force him , but he didnt bowed to his demands , for which he knew he may have to sacrifice his most lovable family members , but to save the true Islam , and to dont let the future generations of Muslims be misguided by the Norms and standards laid by the evil Yazeed Ibn Mavia, He accepted to give the sacrifice of his loved ones and faithful friends , During the Month of Muharram and specially in this period of time , the evil forces of the west , and there local collaborators following the evil practices of there leaders like Yazid Ibn Mavia, try there level best to disintegrate the Muslim Brother Hood and instigate hatred between the Sunni Muslim and Shiite Muslim community, By attacking the Religious activities of the Shiites , and claiming them , and introducing them selves as Sunnis , while they are not Sunnis , as now they have been very much identified by all the sections of the World and especially Pakistani Public that they are Wahabis , who are heavily funded by the Wahabi Government of Saudi Arabia , Which they are doing on the Instructions of there American Masters ,as they are More afraid of Americans then the AlMighty Allah .

Todays Suicide attack on the Bus carrying the Shite Muslims is also a part of the same Conspiracy . Police said the target was not immediately clear.

“It is true there were more Shiites killed in the attack but there were a number of Sunnis also who died in the blast. So we cannot say who was the target,” said Bangash, adding the suicide bomber was aged 15 to 16.

On Monday, a pair of suicide bombers killed 43 People, attacking anti-Taliban militiamen and pro-government elders in Mohmand, part of the tribal belt that Washington considers the global hub of Al-Qaeda.

The Pakistani Taliban purportedly claimed responsibility for that attack, threatening death to anyone who forms militias against the Islamists.

On Tuesday, a suicide bomber tried to assisinate the chief minister of Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, damaging his motorcade and wounding nine people but leaving the minister unhurt.

A purported spokesman for the banned extremist group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi claimed responsibility, saying the official had been targeted for efforts to provide security to Shiite Muslims, who are frequently attacked in Balochistan.

Around 4,000 people have died in suicide and bomb attacks across Pakistan since government forces raided an extremist mosque in Islamabad in 2007. The attacks have been blamed on networks linked to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

The northwest has been particularly hard hit. Pakistan last year fought to wrest back control of the northwestern district of Swat from the Taliban and are fighting against homegrown insurgents along the Afghan border, who are traitors of Pakistan , and are the Even the enemies of Islam & Muslims .

US Fed have no hope of recovery in Unemployment Rate atleast 5 years

JNN 06 Dec 2010 : US Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke says America’s high unemployment rate will not drop to what he calls ‘normal levels’ for years.

“The unemployment rate is just not going down,” Bernanke told 60 Minutes in an interview aired on Sunday night, adding that “at the rate we’re going, it could be 4, 5 years before we’re back to a normal unemployment rate (at around 5 percent to 6 percent).”

The CBS News broadcast came just a couple of days after the US government released a job report which said the country’s economy had added only 39,000 jobs in November and the unemployment rate had risen to 9.8 percent.

The US Federal Reserve chairman also added that the Fed might do more to support the fragile economic recovery, defending its 600 billion-dollar Treasury bond-purchase plan.

Bernanke also warned that the US economy is still struggling to become “self-sustaining” without government help.

Congressional Republicans criticized the decision to buy 600 billion dollars in Treasury bonds which is announced to be a part of a second “quantitative easing” (QE2) effort to encourage more private lending.

Republican leaders have taken the Fed to task on its QE2 decision, saying it will lead to inflation and a devalued dollar and would not help the country’s economy.

Asked if the Fed would consider buying more bonds, Bernanke said, “It’s certainly possible…It depends on the efficacy of the program, it depends on inflation, and finally it depends on how the economy looks.”

In the interview, the Federal Reserve chairman dismissed critics who argue that the policy could lead to future inflation.

He also rejected accusations that the Fed was printing money, saying the US money supply has not significantly changed.

'Zionists control US foreign policy'

JNN 06 Dec 2010 : Renowned American author and veteran journalist Helen Thomas says the “Zionists” are in full control of the US foreign policy and its other institutions.

Thomas, a former White House journalist, said Israel can never be criticized in the US because Zionists are in control of the American foreign policy as well as its main institutions.

“I can call a president of the US anything in the book, but I can’t touch Israel, which has Jewish-only roads in the West Bank,” Thomas said.

The 90-year-old national columnist says the White House, Congress, Wall Street and Hollywood are all owned by the Zionists.

“Congress, the White House, Hollywood, and Wall Street are owned by the Zionists. No question, in my opinion,” she said.

Thomas also said that she stands by the comments she made about Israel earlier this year, which was condemned by the local Jewish community.

Thomas had said that Israelis should get out of Palestine and return to their homes in Europe and the US.

In an interview, Thomas said that criticizing Israel was the reason she was forced to resign from Hearst Newspapers and was ostracized in Washington.

The longtime White House correspondent, who grew up in Detroit as the daughter of Lebanese immigrants, was in Dearborn for a workshop on anti-Arab bias.

Jewish groups have called Thomas’ earlier remarks unfair and bigoted. They have also slammed Thursday’s remarks.
