Five self-imposed permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany after negotiating for around four hours about Iran’s nuclear program ended their meeting without any result.
According to IRNA, the meeting, which was held behind closed doors, started in New York at 12:00 a.m. local time on Saturday and ended at 04:00 p.m.
Advisor to the Chinese ambassador to the UN, as Beijing representative in the meeting, as well as representatives from Germany and Britain left the meeting without talking to reporters.
It was only the US under- Secretary of State, Bill Burns, who claimed that the negotiation was constructive and successful.
But he did not explain why the meeting was constructive.
Russia deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Riyabkov had a few words before and after the meeting.
Departing the meeting, he said they talked about the route of sanctions, although ways to negotiate are still open and are welcome, but the meeting was without result and no decision was made in it.
French representative, by confirming the failure of the meeting, said that they just considered and reviewed the programs
